Construction on the entrance bypass around Innoventions East in EPCOT’s Future World is wrapping up this week. After decorative walls were added in front of the Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind site last week, we can now see where the bypass will meet up with Future World and the currently accessible guest areas.
Repaving part of the walkway under the east breezeway is ongoing, but we can see where a new walkway will be added for the entrance bypass. Until then, guests will be able to enter the bypass via the blocked off entrance next to Guest Relations. This entrance is currently blocked by rolling hedges.
A walk under the Monorail and up this new ramp will bring you between the backside of Guest Relations and the former home of Universe of Energy.
From here, guests will be greeted by the colorful walls adorned with characters from the Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind and Play! pavilions.
We can see where more decorative walls are being added along the green construction fencing already in place that traverses some of the planters already here. Most of this pavement is newly added, meaning this will not likely need to be repaved before the attraction’s opening.
The green wall continues along the fill between Mission: Space and the temporary home of Mouse Gear.
From the ground, we can see where this walkway will empty out. Currently, Daisy has been greeting guests here in front of a decorative planter that was added this week. However, we could see workers on the other side working to complete the bypass.
Will you be using the new bypass pathway once it opens in EPCOT? Let us know in the comments below.
