New DOLE Whip Ceramic Ice Cream Bowl Available at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

A cold, refreshing DOLE Whip has long been an effective way to cool down underneath the glaring Florida sun at Walt Disney World Resort, and thanks to a new item available at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, you can now take that comfort back home with you…sort of. A new bowl that combines the appearance of a DOLE Whip with traditional Polynesian art is now available at the resort.

We found this bowl organized with other DOLE Whip and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort-themed merchandise at BouTiki, located in the resort’s Great Ceremonial House.

The base of this ceramic bowl is brown and features art that’s both inspired by Polynesian styles and unique to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. The figure that’s carved into the sides of the bowl, serving as its pseudo-handles, is Maui (not the “Moana” character, but both are inspired by the same mythos). He’s a bit of a mascot for the resort; a statue depicting him is present in the hotel’s lobby, and he appears on other merchandise.

Carvings line the bowl between the figures. Depictions of flowers sit atop the figures and line the rim of the bowl.

A removable ceramic representation of a DOLE Whip sits atop the bowl, allowing you to put a real DOLE Whip inside if you so choose (in the comfort of your own home, of course).

Included with the bowl is a spoon, a small version of the tiki mascot situated at its top.

DOLE Whips at Disney Parks

World Princess Week Rapunzel Con

DOLE Whips, soft-serve treats beloved for their sweet, refreshing nature, have become a dessert that’s synonymous with the Disney Parks — hence its representation here. There are several locations throughout Walt Disney World that offer a litany of different flavors, and the parks introduce new variations quite frequently.

One of the more recent takes on a DOLE Whip found at the Walt Disney World Resort is the Rapunzel Cone, found at Swirls on the Water in Disney Springs. The lemon Whip with raspberry swirl is served in a lavender cone and was introduced to celebrate the upcoming World Princess Week. You can read our review of this treat here.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is one of Walt Disney World’s original hotels, opening alongside the Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Contemporary Resort on October 1, 1971. It’s situated on the Monorail loop that connects the Magic Kingdom to the hotels surrounding the Seven Seas Lagoon, and, like all hotels on the loop, is classified as a deluxe resort.

A new Disney Vacation Club tower is currently under construction at the resort. It has a planned opening date of late 2024. You can explore recent photos and updates of the under-construction project here.
