  • When the shopping area first opened as Lake Buena Vista Village, it was a nice little distraction, but shoppers all wondered where the Disney/Mickey items were. Folks didn’t come all the way to Disney World on their vacation to buy a “generic” souvenir or item for their house or wardrobe. So the folks at Disney changed their ways and made the shopping area a Disney haven for shopping. While many of the new stores at Disney Springs are nice, they need to learn this old lesson of years ago. It would be wonderful to go to these high end shops and get unique Disney items, but that is not the case. Most of the stores have the same merchandise as if they were at any upscale mall, not the unique Disney items I was hoping for.

    • Unique Disney theming died with Iger. We went from a guy who thought of himself as Walt’s legacy curator & defender to a guy who could sell his mom for a buck and buy whatever he thinks is cool as long as it has no connection to Walt.

And if this guy has his way, the future looks even worse by selling the company to a sweatshop seller of overpriced Chinese trinkets
