It is unknown when the location will open, but it appears it may be just in time for the Summer season. The menu for the location is also unknown at this time.

The addition of this location is important as it would mark the only counter service restaurant inside of the Yacht Club resort. Sources claim that this location will be a coffee house in the morning, offer a quick service lunch, and then be a lounge/bar in the evenings.

According to cast members at the resort, the Fittings and Fairings shop will move to the current location of Ale and Compass Lounge once this new counter service location is completed.

  • Oh no!!!
They’re getting rid of Ale & Compass??
    Such a great little hideaway.
But it’s too little to house the clothes selections from F&F.
    Plus photos look so “sterile.”
And will we ge able to still get coffee at 6am. Boardwalk Bakery opens at 630 and Beach Club Marketplace opens at 7. Way too late for most people. I’ve seen them hunting for coffee around 530-600. ..hint hint.

  • Sad that this will mean the closing of Ale & Compass as we know it.
Love that lobby bar. So convenient for coffee in the morning as well as drinks in the evening.
Plus it is such an inviting little corner of the Yacht Club to just relax in.
Went sometimes in the afternoon and evening for some R&R (relaxing and reading).
It fits the Yacht Club perfectly.
Plus, that space is great for a bar, but it isn’t that large for the clothes that F&F had.
F&F had a very nice selection of Tommy Bahama and Vineyard Vine clothes.
Wonder if Disney wants that brand of clothing to shift to the Springs??
On a positive note, maybe this will mean a little more interest in Martha’s Vineyard. Another great venue, that I’ve felt has been kinda ignored by Disney. Service has been lacking there. Seemingly understaffed. They had small plates there a few years ago, that I haven’t seen lately.
