VIDEO: Star Wars Battlefront 2 Humanizes the Imperial Army

In Star Wars Battlefront 2 players will experience an all-new story from the perspective of Iden Versio, an Imperial pilot.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 will challenge the belief that Imperial forces are brainwashed or even on the wrong side of the fight. The game’s story seeks to show us that these are people with beliefs that deserve to accepted in their own right.

In the above video developers behind the game introduce Idea Versio, the protagonist in Star Wars Battlefront 2‘s campaign. This game seems to be offering a unique story unlike anything we’ve ever seen in the Star Wars universe.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 will release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 17, 2017.

  • So this is like how we are now supposed to focus on feeling bad for perpetrators of violent, hideous crimes instead of their victims because they were abused as children or bullied or on drugs? Always with the “we just need to understand them” mentality these days. There have been other groups of people in history that had “beliefs” behind their ideologies too. I don’t think I need to accept the idea that “well they just killed all those people because they had some strong feelings, so I shouldn’t be too quick to judge.” Moral relativism is the exact reason why atrocities get committed in the first place, not the solution for stopping them. Yeah, let’s just keep on teachin’ those kids critical thinking and decision making isn’t important. When I grew up, Star Wars was a easy concept–Luke and Company GOOD, Darth and Crew BAD. Didn’t really wonder or care if Darth Vader had mommy issues or never got to go to Disney when he was little. I guess now you can’t just play a game to shoot the bad guys, you have to empathize with them first. yeesh.
