Marvel Super Hero Island at Universal Islands of Adventure has been undergoing some minor refurbishments over the last few weeks, with multiple construction walls up for pavement repair.

The entrance to the Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man is currently blocked off, but the attraction is still open. Not only is there general maintenance happening in the area, but the snack stand also received a new name and signage.

The construction walls are up around the entrance to The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, but signage and a Team Member will help direct guests to the temporary entrance. If you continue on the path toward Toon Lagoon, you’ll notice the gates are open with signs for the attraction.

The gates are open to the Daily Bugle extended queue, allowing guests to enter the attraction during construction around the entrance. Attraction warnings, a wait time sign, and a height check are all located around the temporary entrance.

The Daily Bugle Snacks & Drinks stand

The latest addition to Marvel Super Hero Island is the green snack stand across from the actual entrance to The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man. We reviewed the potato knish from here last year, but at that time, the stand did not officially have a name or sign. This new, green-colored stand took over where Chomp Hot Dogs used to be. Now, the stand has received a themed name — Daily Bugle Snacks & Drinks — and a matching marquee.

The Coca-Cola Freestyle machines are blocked off by construction walls, but Interplanetary Popcorn and the Cotton Candy location are both open. We’ve seen refurbishment happening around several different Coca-Cola Freestyle machines in the last few months.

If you’re visiting the parks this time of year, you may spot a lot of construction walls due to maintenance in the slow season. Jurassic Park River Adventure is currently closed for refurbishment, as well as Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-Pendous.
