The escargot dish is back, using a croissant once again after switching to brioche last year. In the same vein, the braised short ribs bring back the puffed potato accompaniment, last seen together in 2019. Meanwhile, the crème brûlée uses a strawberry jam this year, replacing the raspberry from last year.

This was good but strange. The dough tastes like a standard, slightly sweet doughnut, and maybe slightly undercooked. The cheese mixture was delicious, creamy, and smooth. It was a nice blend of cheese flavors. However, the cheese and doughnut together were a weird combination. It wasn’t exactly bad, just odd.

Croissant aux Escargots: Escargot Croissant with Garlic and Parsley – $7.50

Croissant aux Escargots: Escargot Croissant with Garlic and Parsley – $7.50

A fan favorite returns this year! The escargots are prepared by the expert chefs in France to basically become nothing but garlic and butter. They’re placed inside of the croissant that’s topped with a garlic/parsley butter. This may not be the healthiest option at the festival, but it is unique and delicious. We’re still crazy about it after all these years.

The beef was tender and the cabernet sauce was good, but frankly, this just reminded us of a Stouffer’s microwave meal. The puffed potato balls were the best part, but that alone is not a reason to order this.

Crème Brûlée Vanille à la Confiture de Fraises: Vanilla Crème Brûlée with House-Made Strawberry Jam – $5.95

This is a uniquely summery take on the crème brûlée thanks to the addition of strawberry jam, It’s cooked perfectly, and it’s nice and creamy. It also has real strawberries on the bottom, which makes it taste nice and fresh. This is one worth getting!

Strawberry Rose Mimosa: Pol Remy Sparkling Wine ($8/bottle), Orange Juice, and Monin Strawberry Rose – $9.25

This was good, but nothing mind-blowing. It’s a standard mimosa with sparkling wine and orange juice, but with a hint of strawberry. It’s tasty and refreshing, but ultimately forgettable.

*NEW* Merlot-Cabernet Sauvignon Blend, Bordeaux, Ch̢teau de Le Clos de Confreries ($8/bottle) Р$5.75

From René Lafon: “Lively and fruity, a dynamic and tasty wine with good structure. Very well preserved.”

*NEW* Chardonnay, Maison Nicolas ($10/bottle) – $5.50

Luneau USA Inc. describes this wine as having a “light straw color. The nose offers refreshing notes of citrus with a hint of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is generous with toasty notes of nuts. Very lean and clean finish.”

*NEW* Parisian Cosmo Slush: Vodka, Grey Goose Le Citron Vodka ($27/bottle), Grand Marnier ($36/bottle) and Cranberry Juice – $14.95

The boozy slush has a strong cranberry flavor. It’s good, but it doesn’t beat the alcoholic slushes available year round in the France Pavilion. It does have a good ratio of alcohol to juice, and it’s not too syrupy. It’s nice and refreshing, and has a very holiday flavor to it due to the cranberry, so it may be worth revisiting towards the end of the festival. This is a solid option for a drink with a little flair.
