We have more details about Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway that were announced at their Hollywood Studios 30th Anniversary event, courtesy of Scott Gustin on Twitter.

The attraction will feature a “brand-new story”, but the inspiration for the attraction is based on a Disney short entitled “A Flower For Minnie.”

With all these new details revealed, we’re certainly more hopeful for the upcoming attraction, but still in deep mourning for our beloved Great Movie Ride.
I share your feeling of deep mourning for the Great Movie Ride. I’ve heard *speculation* about why Disney got rid of it. But I wonder if anyone really knows what Disney’s reasons were for doing away with that wonderful classic attraction.
New ride looks awesome! But, it is one of the great Disney World tragedies that it had to go in the place of the Great Movie Ride. Why not in Animation Courtyard or something like that ??
