For one week only January 21st-27th, long-lost friends are returning to Magic Kingdom park and guests may have a rare chance to brush shoulders with classic characters in Town Square. Classic characters such as Clarabelle Cow, Horace Horsecollar, Robin Hood, Friar Tuck, the Three Little Pigs and more will be appearing! First, we’re beginning the New Year at Walt Disney World Resort in Magic Kingdom Park with Tomorrowland’s first ever “Bling in the New Year” dance party. For an entire week, children of all ages can celebrate the start of 2013. You’ll be able to watch live entertainment on Rockettower Plaza Stage, dance to great music and celebrate with some of your favorite Disney characters – all dressed in their New Year’s best. And if you can’t stay up until midnight, there will be a New Year’s countdown every hour leading up to midnight. The celebration begins on December 30 and runs through January 5. As we told you a few days ago, we were set to test the FastPass+ system at the Magic Kingdom over the weekend. Well, we sent reporter Zach Larson to try out the system and unlike previous tests, it seems things went really well: Here are the cards guests used for this test Now that the permanent machines for scanning FastPass+ cards have been installed, here’s a look at what will happen when you successfully use the system: Unlike previous tests, most reports we have read stated that all FastPasses that were possessed on guests card worked and scanned properly.
