The Pixar Play Parade To Play Once Again At On June 15th

From Shawn Slater On The Disney Parks Blog: After taking a break for the past year to accommodate the Disney California Adventure park expansion, all your favorite Pixar pals are getting ready to bring the party back to the streets with the return of the Pixar Play Parade. The Pixar Play Parade brings to life the worlds of some of the most popular Disney●Pixar films, from “Toy Story” and “Cars” to “Finding Nemo” and “Monsters, Inc.” Along the way, the infectious soundtrack and energetic spirit of the performers get everyone into the fun of the show. Pixar Play Parade to be on Hiatus Due to Construction

Some more sad news from DCA this week. Due to construction, it was announced on the Disney Parks Blog yesterday that the 2011 and 2012 Food and Wine Festival will not be held, but that is not all that DCA is losing from the expansion. From the LA Times Website: The ongoing expansion, derisively dubbed by some as “Disney’s Construction Adventure,” has proven a continuing nightmare for DCA planners, who have been forced to ship the Main Street Electrical Parade to the Magic Kingdom when construction shrank the parade route and holding queues had to be created to accommodate the thousands of visitors waiting to view the popular “World of Color” water show. And the ramped-up construction will force the Pixar Play Parade into hiatus...

April 25th Weekend News Roundup

A lot of news has popped up over the last couple of days, so I thought I’d post some of these smaller pieces into one big news update: -D23 reports: On April 29, for the first time in history, two people will receive a window on Main Street, U.S.A. on the same day. The windows will honor Disney Legends and former Walt Disney Imagineers Rolly Crump and the late Don Edgren. Look for Rolly and Don’s names over the porch of the old bra shop and above the Silhouette Studio. -According to the OC Register’s Around Disney blog: Plans have been unveiled for a new shop coming to Downtown Disney; this one will replace the recently closed Club Libby Lu. Titled Studio Disney 365, it will be another salon and merchandise location.  It sounds similar to the Bibbidi...

Ratatouille Float Cut From the Pixar Play Parade

In some late breaking news, it seems the Ratatouille float in the Pixar Play Parade has been removed from the parade due to budget cuts, as it is the float that has the most performers. The float will most likely return for the peak seasons such as spring break & the summer. Stay tuned to Disneyland News Today for the latest.
