    • Last time I checked there is an open trading box @ test track, a mystery box @ one of the shops when you enter world showcase from future world forget what theyre called, and oddly enough a mystery box in the u.k. (along with a lot of cute english girls:D )

The mystery box Austin is refering to is in Disney Traders. It is the box that used to be in the walkway to world showcase shop. Also the Mystery trade box from Art of Disney has been relocated to Mission Space.

  • It seems that Disney is making so much more revenue off Vinylmations now, yet they are slowing getting rid of trading sites within their parks/resorts. It does not make sense. Very upsetting!
    a few second

  • I think they keep getting stuck with Big Baby, Bearded Man, etc and don’t want to trash them like the do with cast lanyard pins. To me, the more trading places the merrier.

  • There are 7 places to trade at Epcot as of last weekend:
    1. Camera store under Spaceship Earth [15 mystery box]
    2. Journey to imagination [open box and mystery box]
    3. UK Pavilion [mystery box]
    4. Gateway store near Mexico [Mystery box]
    5. Mission Space store [Mystery box/didn’t see open box]
    6. Mouse Gear [Mystery box]
    7. Guest relations [24 Mystery box and open box]

  • As of today they have removed the trading boxes from the Photo Center (at the front of the park), Guest Relations, and the United Kingdom. This leaves just 3 trade locations in the entire park.

There was no solid answer as to why. One cast member didn’t know, one said it was because vinylmations weren’t popular anymore (really?) and one said it was because they were getting all sorts of traders from the clearance sales at the outlet malls. My response to that is that perhaps they shouldn’t overproduce them!

    • As of what date? I know those locations had them, then took them away recently. But I can recheck on Friday. That would be great! Because Epcot trade locations have diminished.

      • The store in Epcot with all the Duffy stuff is right across from his meet and greet at the entrance to the World Showcase after you cross the bridge from Future World.

  • Mouse gears and one of the twin trading posts (off to your left if u r looking at the back of the park) were trading 3 days ago.

  • First time trader – I went to both Mouse Gears and Disney Trader in Epcot yesterday. They were both still Mysteries 15 and Clear 3. They used the same rules for tradings; you can choose 2 numbers in the Mystery Box and can get either one of them, or you can get one from the clear box if you don’t like what you get from the mystery box. Quite fun.
