A little while ago, the first floor of Innoventions in Disneyland Park secretively closed to guests. Innoventions is still open, but only the upper floor, with exhibits such as Project Tomorrow, & Honda’s ASIMO. But what exactly is going on downstairs? Well it has been a bit of a mystery. But we here at DL News Today just received a pretty good sneak peak as to what is actually going on.
Innoventions Dream Home will replace the original Tom Morrow exhibits on the first floor. And as part of that, unfortunately or not, Tom Morrow will most likely be dropped from the attraction, which is scheduled to open this summer. It will be a 21st century version of the House of the Future, with corporate sponsorship from not only Microsoft, but also Hewlett Packard, Exceptional Innovations, & Home Builder Hayler-Morrison. In one room, guests will be able to interact with digital pianos, Microsoft Service Tables, automated room settings, & much more. There will also be a very interactive childrens room, that I’m sure any child would die to have! But the most exciting part of this project is that cast members will act out some of the attraction as the Elias family, which is definitely a tribute to Walt Disney’s middle name.
Here’s some concept art we’ve received of the 2 rooms mentioned above:
