MitP Update

Here are a few pieces of interest from the latest Monday in the Parks article on MiceAge:

  • The TEA & ERA have released Annual Theme Park Attendance Numbers for 2007. For the Disneyland Resort, Disneyland in #2 in North America & the world, with attendance of 14,870,000 & has gone up 1% since 2006. DCA is #8 in North America & #13 in the world, with attendance of 5,680,000 & has gone down 4.5% since 2006. For the full report, click here (or you can view it on MiceAge by using the link above).
  • During the Spring Break season, High School Musical 2 will continue to play only 5 days a week, & not play on Wednesdays & Thursdays.
  • Seasons of the Vine, which is currently scheduled to close on Sunday March 30th, should re-open as the Disneyland Resort Preview Center in June of this year. Of course though, the plan could change at any time.

And now some pictures of interest from the article:

A look at the current state of King Arthur’s Carousel

The corners of the Tomorrowland Monorail station had to be cut off to allow the Mark VII Monorails to pass through! Hopefully the new monorail should be ready by April, with any luck!

The bridge near Whitewater Snacks in DCA is nearly ready, & the Miner 49’ers should start playing there again on Thursday!

Thanks again to David “Darkbeer” Michaels for the information & pictures! Don’t forget to check out his weekly column, Monday in the Parks, every Monday on MiceChat!
