Robert Ashburn’s 2/10/09 WDW Photo Report

Our good friend Robert Ashburn of Figment’sMedia.Net and FTN has provided us with another fantastic photo report, this time of his journey around the Walt Disney World Resort on Monday, February 10th. Let’s see what’s happening around the world:

“Celebrate Today” banners at Epcot

If they sold a Spaceship Earth balloon, I would buy it

Guests can now save the world daily in the Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure

They now have illustrated instructions for the attraction inside Innoventions

Here is what they are calling the “Odyssey Bridge” recruitment center

A very cool map of World Showcase hanging at the center

“Celebrate Today!” banners around World Showcase

Exterior refurbishments continue throughout the China pavilion

The Japan pavilion tarps are still up. I think this building spends more time behind tarps than not

Some filming taking place in front of the France pavilion

In case you couldn’t find the International Gateway recruitment center…

This “Top Secret” sign has been added

Over at Hollywood Studios, more “Celebrate Today!” banners

The Superstar Shop at the exit of the American Idol Experience is well-stocked with merchandise. Let’s take a look:

The location sells Coca-Cola products, leading us to believe rumors that the soft drink company fronted the entire bill for this attraction

Preparations for the American Idol media event that took place on Thursday

Could it be?

The dedication plaque for the park has returned!!! Am I the only one who thinks it’s cool that they framed the original plaque in the new park name?

Some lights being replaced in the pavement outside the Superstar Television Theater

The refurbishment of the Sorcerer’s Hat is complete. I’ve always had mixed feelings about it, but it looks very nice now.

Over at Downtown Disney, Summer Sands has closed to make way for a new store.

Tren-D will open in the Spring, looks like it will be similar to the Vault 28 shop at the Disneyland Resort

The PhotoPass area has been moved into the former Guest Relations area at the Marketplace

Vinylmation Park Series 1 is now available at the Once Upon a Toy Store

Here’s a look at some upcoming Vinylmation series

We end this report with a look at the current Vinylmation series. A special thanks to Mr. Ashburn for the photos!!!
