Chuck Canzoneri’s 5/26/09 Photo Report

Chuck Canzoneri reports to us with yet another of his fantastic photo reports:

Some filming of the World of Disney sign was taking place

At Marceline’s Confectionery they were making Minnie apples

There were a lot of characters about

The Fab 5 were all out, spread across Town Square

And Donald was talking! Not blinking and moving his mouth, but get close enough and you would hear Donald speaking

The candy store was making Chocolate Fudge, which apparently calls for a lot of butter

A few small areas around the park were being painted

And the reconstruction of the Astro Orbiter continues

It’s a bit surprising to see so many walls as we enter June

Over at DCA, the characters were out too

But as usual, Chuck was there for the food!

11am, and Chuck met the Ghirardelli Chocolatier. He went through the process of how chocolate is made and the differences between milk, dark and white chocolate

Guests got snack bags of chocolate to taste

Chuck also attended a couple of Kitchen Conversations. This one was about sauces and was hosted by a chef at Cocina Cucamonga

This second Kitchen Conversation was about marinades

The main presentation on Tuesday was Celebrate Italy

Chuck was given a book about the regions of Italy and the foods that come from there

The chef was special as well. He works for Valentino, which is a restaurant inside The Venetian on the Las Vegas Strip

Everything seems to be sponsored by Siemens now-a-days!

The chef made Chicken Scaloppine with rice

It was (as expected) incredible

The fact that Food & Wine has been going on for so long kind of makes you forget about the “frying pan”

Heading towards the back of the park

A final look at the Route 66 portion of Paradise Pier

Dinosaur Jack’s Sunglass Shack is now closed, and Corn Dog Castle and Souvenier 66 close on June 1st

The newly reopened King Triton’s Carousel

Unfortunately, nothing much has changed

A beautiful new sculpture of Belle in Off the Page

Although beauty must always come with a price

The new Up Pre-Parade

There are some great details on this float

Up opens in theaters everywhere tomorrow!

This summer is going to be nightastic!

Thanks for your report Chuck
