WDWNT Reporter Brandon Struve took a quick trip to Walt Disney World yesterday and has quite a few newsworthy photos to share with us, so let’s take a look:

For those unfamiliar with it, this is the left side of the Uptown Jewelers store
Inside the store, a plethora of Haunted Mansion merchandise from artist Shag has survived the anniversary event at Disneyland
Robert Olszewski’s “PokitPal” series now includes all 4 Haunted Mansion stretching room portraits
Jim Shore’s Hitchhiking Ghost sculpture will be available beginning 9/9/09
The first piece in the WDCC Haunted Mansion series is coming out Spetember 14th and is limited to just 500 pieces
Moving over to Tomorrowland, the 2009 year sign at Carousel of Progress is now being placed over the void originally containing the spinning year sign, rather than in it
Work on the Skyway building continues…
Work continues outside the former site of the Galaxy Palace Theater on a new character meet and greet location
The Tomorrowland Transit Authority (TTA) is on schedule to re-open September 1st
New colored LED lights line most of TTA track
Tarps are now up for modifications to the Stitch’s Supersonic Celebration stage. The border around the screen has already been modified, now the sound system and camera system are being worked on. A show is planned to run on the stage beginning in November.
Moving over to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa….
Work has begun on the new marble floor in the lobby building
Only a small piece of the second level floor is completed, but it’s looking really nice thus far
Work is now taking place in front of the M. Mouse Mercantile store
