Brandon Struve’s 8/28/09 WDW Photo Report

WDWNT Reporter Brandon Struve took a trip around the World on Friday and has a ton of newsworthy pictures to share with us, so let’s take a look at what’s new and notable:

Welcome to the Magic Kingdom, where Halloween is in full swing

All of the Main Street U.S.A. decorations are up already

It’s not hard to believe when the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party kicks off September 4th

The “pumpkin citizens of Main Street” have returned to Town Square

The Hall of Champions is finally out from under tarps and is looking beautiful

Center Street and Uptown Jewelers are still under tarps

The character statues in the hub have also returned this year

Moving into Tomorrowland, the Space Mountain construction walls now wrap around the entire arcade building

Work on the old Skyway building is moving along slowly

The new Tomorrowland stage is emerging from tarps after some modifications were made for the upcoming”Totally Tomorrowland Christmas” show

Two lighting towers are now on the stage

Work on the new meet and greet area next to Carousel of Progress is almost finished, we can now make out a doorway where characters will emerge from

The Tomorrowland Transit Authority (TTA) vehicles are waiting to return to service

Brandon decided to take a ride on the Astro Orbiter and get a better look at all of the construction in Tomorrowland

Some new lights have been installed on the roof of the Carousel of Progress to light the new character meet and greet

A tree blocks a clear view of the new meet and greet 🙁

Installation of the Cinderella Castle Dreamlights is progressing

A beautiful shot…

That looks very different during parts of “Dream Along with Mickey”

“See Ya Real Soon” Magic Kingdom

Over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where the “Osbourne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights” installation continues

The lights debut on November 10th

A new sign is up outside the Voyage of the Little Mermaid show, the characters from the top of it are still missing

We leave the Studios and visit the Boardwalk

Where Cat Cora’s “Kouzzina” restaurant is now open

Brandon arrives at his final destination, Epcot

Inside the Mexico pavilion, the new tequila bar has not opened on schedule

The sign ties “La Cava del Tequila” to the San Angel Inn restaurant

A lot of changes have been made and will be made to the plaza behind Spaceship Earth over the coming weeks

The railings along the Fountain of Nations stage have been removed

Permits have been filed to remove the covering connected to Pin Central

Those who remember our Innoventions Green and Blue post from a few months ago shouldn’t be surprised to see this color change

Of course, the other side is blue

Paving on the blue side is almost done

Except for a patch in front of Mouse Gear

The signage for Innoventions is green and blue. Coincidence? Nope.

Work on the upcoming Sum of All Thrills exhibit continues behind black curtains

Thanks for the report Brandon!
