Jose Castillo’s 7/29/09-8/4/09 Photo Report

Our final photo report from last week’s WDWNT group trip to Disneyland comes to us from our technical director Jose Castillo. This was actually Jose’s first trip to Disneyland, and therefore his first photo report for us here at Disneyland News Today:

The Palace of Fine Arts is all that remains of Golden Dreams

The WDWNT crew on their way to enjoy Disney’s Wall Adventure

The model in the Blue Sky Cellar shows that some sort of statue will be where that wooden structure is

A look at World of Color construction

One of the lighting towers for the show

Paradise Park is due to be completed sometime this December

While the lagoon is scheduled to be filled beginning in September

Tom, Matt, and I on Mickey’s Fun Wheel

In fact, the Fun Wheel is a great place to get overhead construction photos from

Peeling of the Orange Stinger had just began at this stage in the trip

Small World Mall is a great place to see Magical. It’s not crowded at all, and the fireworks and projections are amazing

Here are a couple of shots of Pixie Hollow Enchantment

The D23 Expo ad on the west side of the Esplanade features the Hitchhiking Ghosts

The Expo is just about 30 days away!

It certainly was fun to see the progress of the peeling of the Orange Stinger over the course of 7 days

Matt Paul and Myrna Litt’s daughter-in-law Jackie were the only 2 brave enough to go on the Maliboomer

What photo report this summer is complete with-out a few Electrical Parade photos? :) Here’s some from the WDWNT Fan Meet

Sunday morning, I volunteered for an ABC TV quiz show in Innoventions. Unfortunately, I entered the contest and lost ;(

Our Fan Meet on Sunday consisted of Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room and the Jungle Cruise

Pirates of the Caribbean and The Haunted Mansion

And The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

The Jungle Cruise/Princess barge in Fantasmic

Our final meet was a group showing of Magical. Greg McNaughten of MiceCast and Imagineering My Way joined us

If you want to see fireworks at their absolute best, make sure you see the show right in the Hub

World of Color construction on Monday morning

More of the Orange Stinger was gone

California Screamin’ kept breaking down all week

By Tuesday, the Orange Stinger was about half peeled

And that concludes Jose’s first trip to Disneyland and this photo report. Thanks for the photos Jose!
