Shawn Hutchison’s 10/2/09 Photo Report

Our own Shawn Hutchison seems to be loving Halloween Time, as he returns with yet another Disneyland Resort photo report:

Friday was the first Mickey’s Trick-or-Treat Party this year

You can see the set-up for the party from the Esplanade

Friday was also the day the new Disney Gallery opened, and Shawn took an in depth look at the Gallery for us

Robert Olszewski’s popular Disneyland miniatures are all on sale

This Mark I Monorail piece was recently released

Some left-over artwork for sale from The Haunted Mansion 40th anniversary event

A nice thematic touch in the first exhibit room

Various pieces of artwork on display in both exhibit rooms

The front half of the Main Street Opera House lobby is open, featuring new and old exhibits on the history of Disneyland, as well as the First 50 Magical Years film

The model of Disneyland in 1955 is now in the wall where Walt’s office used to be

A poster of the first edition of “The Disneyland News”

Each original land’s dedication by Walt Disney

A model of Splash Mountain

The age of the original Imagineers created such classic attractions as It’s a Small World, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Haunted Mansion, and Space Mountain

The newer generation of Imagineers that came to Disney in the 70s created such modern classics as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Star Tours, Splash Mountain, and the Indiana Jones Adventure

This bench is said to be the bench where Walt came up with the idea for Disneyland

It is on loan to Disneyland from Tony Baxter

The Hub character pumpkins lit up at night

Now for some pictures of Halloween Screams from It’s a Small World

Jack Skellington’s face is projected onto the clock head

A lot of the projections are similar to those on the Castle

Here Ursula is projected onto the Small World facade

Black and white spots for Cruela de Vil

“Trust in Me”

Oogie Boogie is all over It’s a Small World’s facade

Now for the big finale

While this looks quite impressive, nothing compares to seeing this show in the Hub

Thanks for your report Shawn!
