I’ve returned from a wonderful three day trip to the Disneyland Resort, and have plenty of photos to share from a wealth of happenings around the Resort. Let’s get to it:

The “Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure” car is back out in the Esplanade

Also, there are new banners explaining the contest replacing a couple of the regular “Celebrate Today!” banners

The snowflake structures that debuted last year are up on the Disneyland turnstiles

My first stop on Friday was to check out Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee

Here are some pictures from the show

After the show starts off with “Down in New Orleans” and “Gonna Take You There”, Tiana sings her song, “Almost There”

Louis the Alligator then dreams to be human with his performance of “When We’re Human”

As you can see, there’s not much to the props in this show, but they’re effective nonetheless

Then, the film’s villain, Dr. Facilier, barges in and takes over with “Friends on the Other Side”

I love what the performers do here

Dreams do come true in New Orleans, and Dr. Facilier leaves while the cast gets ready to “Dig a Little Deeper”

The show ends with a customary blast of confetti

The Mark Twain then goes rolling down the bayou, where the guests on board get to meet with Tiana, Naveen, Louis, and even some of the performers

Keep an eye on the WDWNTube and here at Disneyland News Today later this week for a complete video of Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee

And just as Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee ends, the Sailing Ship Columbia is already loaded with guests

Pixie Hollow is celebrating the Fall Revelry from “Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure”. We’ll take a complete look at the new decorations a little later in the photo report

Rosetta’s cold weather jacket

As part of Disney’s on-going efforts to prevent the spread of the flu, hand sanitizer stations have been installed at the entrances to both parks and at meet ‘n greet locations such as Pixie Hollow and the Princess Fantasy Faire. You can read more about this new initiative on the Disney Parks Blog

Most of the holiday decorations are up on Sleeping Beauty Castle, but the lights won’t be turning on until Friday

None of the banners were up, leaving just plain posts

Towers put up for filming of the Disney Parks Christmas Special the next day

Now on to Saturday

This weekend was the only weekend that it made sense to have this poster up

Main Street was full of equipment for the filming of the Disney Parks Christmas Special

People were lining up to see the filming of 300 cheerleaders going down Main Street USA at 11:00am

The lighting towers I mentioned earlier in the report uncovered

The stage in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle being set up for Sunday’s performances

Now back to Pixie Hollow for a more in-depth look at the new Fall decorations

One of the hand sanitizer stations

Not a lot of people in line Saturday morning

Various props inspired by “Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure”

Tinker Bell with her new friend Terence

There were various meet locations throughout the park for the groups performing in the Disney Parks Christmas Special

One of the locations was next to the Toontown Train Station

For some unknown reason, The Enchanted Cottage at the Princess Fantasy Faire has been completely re-built. That’s not a bad thing though, because it looks a lot nicer now

It’s still sad seeing nothing going on at the Fantasyland Theater itself

Now for a look at the holiday decorations in Frontierland

I like the very woodsy feeling that the holiday garland and wreaths have in Frontierland

And now a look at New Orleans Square’s holiday decorations

The Royal Street Veranda has re-opened

Now for a look at the new Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen meet ‘n greet at the Court of Angels in New Orleans Square

Not a bad wait at all

Tiana and Naveen are two great new additions to the line-up of Disney characters

Right next door to the meet ‘n greet is the new store, Le Bayou Magique, selling “Princess and the Frog” merchandise

Some work going on at the exit of the Enchanted Tiki Room

A look at the Disney Parks Christmas Special stage set-up a little later in the day

A really cool ladies T-Shirt available at Star Traders

Behind these construction walls you can see one of the cars from the Casey Jr. Circus Train, as well as some new woodwork being put in

The Villains meet ‘n greet has been removed

It’s a Small World is getting ready to re-open this Friday with its annual holiday overlay

The exit from It’s a Small World into the Toy Shop is closed off while the attraction is closed

A look at the closed attraction from the Disneyland Railroad

The lights that create one of the most amazing sights in Disneyland history

With It’s a Small World closed, this area of the park is a dead-zone until parade time

Speaking of parade time, here are a few pictures of “Celebrate! A Street Party”, which has its final performance (either for the year, or forever) this Thursday

Don’t forget, A Christmas Fantasy Parade returns this Friday!

Now back to Pixie Hollow for a bit

Silvermist’s cold weather jacket

Tink poses in front of the new set pieces at Pixie Hollow

Now over to Disney’s California Adventure, where the CALIFORNIA letters have been given the candy cane treatment

The holiday decorations are up in Hollywood Pictures Backlot

Unfortunately, the “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” set in front of the Disney Animation building has been taken down

A window display at Off the Page for the Diamond Edition release of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”

Some new “Nightmare Before Christmas” merchandise in Off the Page

One of the changing portraits in Haunted Mansion Holiday

A cool poster from this year’s California Food and Wine Festival that’s still available

Jim Shore’s Princess Carousel

Some more cool Jim Shore figures

Off the Page (and other locations throughout the Disneyland Resort) are selling a “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” Diamond Edition set that includes a DVD copy, a Blu-Ray copy, and a special book

Plenty of paint-your-own Vinylmations are available

There’s already a figure of Princess Tiana available

I was quite happy to see these figures of Basil and Dawson from “The Great Mouse Detective”

Christmas lights at the entrance to Hollywood Pictures Backlot

10th anniversary of Disney Pin Trading items available at P.T. Flea Market

A couple of recent jumbo pins are available

This was released quite a while ago, but with that price tag, I’m not surprised that it’s still around

It’s a little hard to make out, but here’s the new tower (or whatever it’s supposed to be) that was installed in Paradise Park earlier this week

The reflection of Mickey’s Fun Wheel into Paradise Bay lagoon is absolutely breathtaking

The new location for the DCA Christmas tree

A couple of random nighttime Paradise Pier shots

A new frozen drinks stand across from the former Orange Stinger, next to the Paradise Pier parade gate

The stucco has been peeled off the Orange Stinger elevator

The re-painting of the Jumpin’ Jellyfish is complete

A new set of construction walls are up in between the entrance of the Jumpin’ Jellyfish and the entrance of the Golden Zephyr

A Muppets Star Wars set in Engine-Ear Toys

Thanksgiving Mickey and Minnie plush

Next to the Thanksgiving plush were some Halloween items still for sale

The Golden Gate Bridge looks lovely at Christmas time

And finally, now on to Sunday… Construction on the new stroller rental center

Likely due to the planned filming in the area, Pirates of the Caribbean opened at 11:00am

Signs were up directing guests to Tomorrowland and Fantasyland…

And Adventureland and Frontierland

The film crew were preparing to film Stevie Wonder in front of the Castle at 1:30pm

Blinding lights on the Castle

The line to be part of the crowd during the taping (this was around 8:30am)

I’ve never noticed this hidden door in the Tomorrowland rocks before

Captain Hook was doing meet ‘n greets in Town Square

Preparation for the filming around 12:15pm

The Matterhorn Bobsleds were closed for at least an hour Sunday afternoon

By 1:00pm, the line to be part of the Christmas Special crowd was all the way back to Alice in Wonderland

The performance actually didn’t happen until around 3:00pm

Meanwhile over in New Orleans Square, some performers from Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee and plenty of guests were on board the Mark Twain Riverboat to tape a segment for the Disney Parks Christmas Special

Some technical problems, and even birds flying in front of the camera, caused the taping to run longer than expected, and so a performance of Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee was canceled

A lot of New Orleans Square was blocked off for this filming

Construction walls are still up at the French Market

But the new entrance has been unveiled however

A sign directing guests around the film crew to Haunted Mansion Holiday, Splash Mountain, and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

A sight you certainly don’t see every day are show performers walking through the park in costume with their personal belongings

They were very slowly unloading the kids off the Mark Twain

A look at the newly re-opened Main Street Magic Shop

A look at some holiday merchandise in Disney Showcase

You can get custom embroidering here

Looks like this store is no longer called Celebration Custom Printers

I wonder what a flat-screen TV was doing there

The passageway from the Mad Hatter into the Opera House exit is walled off

Is this shop window bust of Abraham Lincoln new?

Monorail Blue is once again operating. Are these the new windows?

The one curse of Remember Dreams Come True is that it closes down a lot more attractions than all the other firework shows do

One of this year’s Holidays at the Disneyland Resort banners in Downtown Disney

A temporary stage set up outside the Rainforest Cafe

A nice new color scheme for Kitson Kids

“A Christmas Carol” banners at the AMC

A nice display for “The Princess and the Frog” inside the AMC

The Taqueria margarita bar at Tortilla Jo’s is now open

You can now build your own Frosty the Snowman at Build-a-Bear Workshop

The space in-between LittleMissMatched and RIDEMAKERZ awaits a new occupant

RIDEMAKERZ appears to be doing well

The other new Holidays at the Disneyland Resort banners

Christmas lights in the trees near the World of Disney store

An ad for “Prep and Landing” in the Esplanade

Also one for “A Christmas Carol”, which is now out in theaters everywhere

Some of the Anaheim Resort Transit buses are now advertising Toy Story Mania

I hope you all enjoyed this very lengthy photo report!
