Myrna Litt’s 11/4/09 Photo Report

Our very own Myrna Litt has returned from a trip to the Disneyland Resort yesterday with an excellent batch of photos. Let’s dive in:

The Fab 5 pumpkins are gone, replaced with the snowflake structures that debuted last year

The Main Street Magic Shop has re-opened under the run of Houdini’s Magic Shop

Garland has been placed on Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle. All that’s left to put up now are the icicles

The moat around the Castle has been re-filled

I can never get over how good the Castle looks at Christmas!

The Fairies at Pixie Hollow are currently celebrating the Fall Revelry

Fawn in front of some new banners

Tinker Bell with some more of the new banners, as well as the new prop inspired by “Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure”

Terence wasn’t out with Tink when Myrna visited unfortunately

Monorail Blue, which recently returned from a refurbishment, circling around the Matterhorn

And here’s Monorail Blue traveling over the Submarine Lagoon

Let’s take a look at some of the holiday decorations already put up in Mickey’s Toontown

Each buildings’ garland has items in it relating to whatever that building is

Roger Rabbit gets into the spirit of the season

Chip ‘n Dale’s Treehouse is still closed for refurbishment

Workers working at the exit of the still closed Casey Jr. Circus Train

Woody and Jessie in Frontierland

The Mark Twain Riverboat is all ready for the debut of Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee tomorrow

“Going down the bayou…”

New Orleans Square is always one of the first areas of the Resort to get decorated for the holidays

Work has been completed in the Court of Angels for the Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen meet ‘n greet, which opened to guests today (Thursday, November 5th)

The meet ‘n greet wasn’t open when Myrna visited, so don’t be alarmed by the 40 minute wait time

Next door to the Court of Angels, Le Bayou Magique, a new store with merchandise from “The Princess and the Frog”, has opened

Over at Disney’s California Adventure, the decorations at the entrance to Flik’s Fun Fair are complete now with Flik getting his Santa Clause suit

The new monument in Paradise Park was all ready to get it’s big top, which was put on it last night. We’ll have photos of that in our next photo report

A look at construction and re-filling in the Paradise Bay lagoon

The night-time lights of Mickey’s Fun Wheel will make this holiday season seem just a little brighter 🙂

I love the reflection of all the attractions of Paradise Pier in the Paradise Bay lagoon

The refurbishment and re-painting of the second Jumpin’ Jellyfish tower has been completed

The reflection of Mickey’s Fun Wheel in Paradise Bay lagoon is almost as beautiful as the Fun Wheel itself

The DCA Christmas tree has been moved to near Ariel’s Grotto and Catch-a-Flave due to the new monument in Paradise Park taking over the old Christmas tree spot

Thanks for your report Myrna!
