Our own Shawn Hutchison was at the Happiest Place on Earth yesterday for the start of Holidays at the Disneyland Resort. He reports back to us with the following photos:

New billboards for the season at the Mickey and Friends tram station

The CALIFORNIA letters decked out as candy canes

Mickey gift wraps the “C”

While Goofy hangs from the second “A”

A holiday wreath and garland decorate the Golden Gate Bridge

Surfin’ Christmas Donald in Sunshine Plaza

A quick look at World of Color construction

It’s so good to have the reflection the water creates back

Work in Paradise Park is now scheduled to be completed on February 20th, 2010

DCA’s new Christmas tree

Santa does meet ‘n greets next to the Christmas tree

Another look at work going on in and around the Paradise Bay lagoon

Water flowing into the lagoon on either side of the Mickey’s Fun Wheel queue

Now to head over to where the holidays really lie, Disneyland Park

The Mickey floral got a Christmas update, with Mickey now donning a Santa hat

The majestic Main Street Christmas tree

Beautiful garland strung across Main Street

A look at the recently re-opened Main Street Magic Shop

A look some holiday merchandise next door in Disney Showcase

The holidays are definitely the most wonderful time of the year at the Disneyland Resort

Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle look great during the day and spectacular at night

A Haunted Mansion Holiday themed spoon collection at the French Market and Cafe Orleans

“The Princess and the Frog” meet ‘n greet in the Court of Angels

Tiana and Naveen weren’t there when Shawn passed by

Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee going down the bayou past Critter Country

Now for a look at the highlight of the holiday season, It’s a Small World Holiday

Let the ride begin!

While the regular version of It’s a Small World is definitely a classic, the attraction shines much more brightly during the holiday season

The Disney characters are still in the ride, now with a music-box underlay of their songs playing

Don’t you just love the smell of gingerbread? :)

The Latin American room might just have the best holiday decorations in the whole ride

The new America room got a “Ho Ho Holidays!” overlay

Nothing beats hearing “Deck the Halls” and “It’s a Small World” together in the finale room

I believe the poster on the left may be new

The whole Small World Mall area gets some holiday touch-ups

Even the pretzel cart gets some holiday decor

And the churro cart too

This year’s Christmas maps

The newly re-designed Disneyland times guide now features the holiday offerings as well as health and safety tips at the bottom

Thanks for the report Shawn!
