Conner Purzycki’s 1/4/10 – 1/5/10 DLR Photo Report

I was at The Disneyland Resort yesterday and the day before to enjoy some fun in the sun. Lot’s of work walls popping up due to the upcoming slow season for the next month or two.

On the 4th, work walls surround the CALIFORNIA letters to prepare them for removal

20th Century Music Company closed for a standard refurbishment

Random work wall in Town Square surrounding parade lighting. Parade speakers gone??

I don’t think these people paid to have their tile covered

That is the condor flats sign, it was rotated facing bugs. I wonder if it is finally fixed and rotating again

On the next day (5th), art was put on the work walls in front of DCA

(Sorry about the high exposure!)

The wall also

had very obscure characters such as Mortimer Mouse and Clara Cluck

The middle picture is new concept art. The turnstile building looks a little different now. Almost looks like WDI is reusing the current building.

Grizzly River Run is closed for refurbishment

This bear may not survive, get your pictures now!!

A little later in the day, the glass was reflecting better

Gates have been removed on individual turnstiles and placed on both sides of the walls for the bank of turnstile in use

Walls already being put up around the base of the Magic tower

For some reason I walked over to the Paradise Pier and got this shot of Cars Land

  1. As always, excellent report, Conner! Glad to see progress being made on the DCA entrance, it looks like it will be a tight fit for a while. Love the nod to the vintage Disney characters (especially Oswald)!
