Evil Kermit (The post you’ve been waiting for!)

This is the contest post. If you don’t know about it, check out Evilos’ Evil Giveaway Rules. You have til midnight EST to leave a comment to be entered into the contest. Good luck!

First, we wanted to thank Evilos again. Check out the cool Evil Kermit above. We are giving this one away, but check out his webpage at Evilos.com. There are lots of cool figures to check out there. Second, we wanted to say how cool and how nice a guy he is (as you’ll see in the letter he sent us). Always one to bring a positive attitude to this community, I think we should all try to be a little more like him when we can. Here’s the message he asked us to add to this post.

“I want to thank Nick and MC for allowing me to give something away to the dedicated listeners, its my pleasure to help promote their awesome podcast, the site and Vinylmation in general. Anyone that knows me personally knows I’m very passionate about vinylmation and the Disney brand.

I can’t believe its almost been two years since I first made a custom using the 3″ Blank I purchased at Disneyland. That custom the was Evil Kermit which brings this contest full circle once again.

Vinylmation has provided us artists with such an iconic canvas to work with, Mickey Mouse. Pushing the limits of what a vinyl collectible can do, it challenges artists to think outside the box and truly be creative.

I hope that over the years I have inspired both young and old to pick up a blank and just be creative. There is an inner artist in all of us, I think we were all put here to create things and inspire others, rather than destroy each other.

I also want to thank Donald Ferro and Steven Miller who, behind the scenes, put a lot time and love into this product we all enjoy. They have gone out of their way to make us the fans feel excited about a Disney product again. Also to the Artists, Thomas Scott, Eric Caszatt, Lin Shih, Chris Chapmen and the army of extremely talented people that are pushing the envelope and coming up with amazing designs everyday. They are the life-force behind vinylmation and I salute them.

Lastly I would love to thank my beautiful wife who has put up with my creative madness and has been really supportive, even though there seems to be a million Mickeys all over the house. Also my two children, Alexander and Isabella who are my reason for living..

Thank you all.” -Christopher (Evilos)

Thanks again Evilos for everything you’ve brought to the vinylmation community.

Had a pic chosen for display @ a local art museum! Keep up the good work Evilos.I think you are an inspiration to the inner artist in us all!

  • Evilos,

I really enjoy your work. Your pieces are fun and artistic. And on top of that, you are a nice guy :-) . Thanks for allowing DestinationVinylmation fans a chance to win one of your vinylmation customs. Look forward to see future pieces. THANKS!!!!

  • Wow!! What an awesome custom!! Evilos your work is amazing! I look forward to seeing what you come up with next!

  • WOW!! What a really great looking Kermit. Our whole family loves vinylmations and trying to collect them. At WDW this past Feb, my son was so into trading them that he opened a holiday 2 box and didn’t like the “santa” that he got. He walked into the gift shop by Space Mountain and asked the CM if he could trade. The CM stopped, gave him a look and then said “I think that is the chaser”. He was so excited and that is all I hear about that remember when I picked out the chaser. It’s the only chaser we have!! I visit your site multiple times a day just to see what “pops” up. Thanks again!!

    • Hi Josh, I did the same thing, with the evil dr porkchop from toy story 3!!! it was the chaser, and before our last trip i was getting together my vinylmations I was going to take with me to trade, then I found it on line and found out that was the chaser! i then placed him carefully back up on his shelf :)

  • I love evil Kermit! Thaank you to Evilos and Destination Vinylmation for this contest. I wish I had any kind of art talent so I could make custom vinyls that are as cool as yours Evilos.

  • Thank you guys. Love having a chance to win one of Evilos’ awesome customs. I’m kind of new to the collecting but hope to have a custom some day to add to the collection.

  • Sweet…evilos should be hired to do all the villains sets…and judging by his Mickey in Carboniferous…star wars too..Thanks guys

  • Been waiting on this too! I always enjoy seeing the customs, especially Evilos’s great work! Also a big thanks to DV for keeping us in the know on Vinylmation!

  • When Michael Scott on The Office ponders, “Would I rather be feared or loved? Um… Easy, both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me,” I hold a similar feeling with the Evil Kermit…I’m afraid of how much I love it.

  • Looking at amazing pieces like this makes me wish that I could actually draw/paint. Great work and I love the detail. Thank you for sharing it with us.

  • Evil Kermit is amazing as always love the eyes.
Thanks for this contest guys and all the hard work you put into this awesome collectible hobby and helping draw in new collectors.

  • Great contest, great site, great podcasts, great artist!!! thanks for this Evil contest! and thanks for all the great info you guys bring to us each day!! you get me wicked excited about vinylmations!!! :)

  • Great vinyl! And great website to give it away! Thanks for all the hard work you all put into keeping us all informed

  • So cool!! I think Stephen King and Brian Henson should get together, because with inspiration like this I think they could come up with something.

    LOVE IT!!!

  • Hey Evilos,
Thanks for this contest! I really enjoy your work and think they look even better in person! I would love to win this awesome and creative vinylmation.

  • Awesome Kermit Vinyl! My daughter would love to win it, she is a huge Kermit fan but doesn’t have a Kermit figure in her Vinylmation collection yet!

  • Kermit is by far one of my favorite muppets ever, but an evil version? that’s like ranking him up there with Darth Vader IMO. Thanks for being such a great website and keeping us all informed on everything. Vinylmation have been something my fiance and I enjoy together and can’t wait to keep collection.

Chris, your work is amazing and has been very inspiring to all us artists out here who haven’t yet hit it big like you! :) Keep up the amazing work my friend, the best to you, your family, and your vinyl creations!

  • This is absolutely amazing!!! I really like how its like a total alter ego of kermit!!!!!!

    Jason Alder

  • Wow, I love the figure. Have to admit, I have seen other Evilos figures and have always wanted one but just haven’t been lucky enough to find one affordable! Ebay always makes them insane to even attempt! I’d love to have this one! Best of luck to everyone, and I hope whomever wins it, will truly enjoy it!

  • Thank you Vinylmation Destination and especially Evilos for this awesome contest! I love the creations made by Evilos just as much as the ‘original’ vinyls! Great job using your imagination…and thank you for inspiring the artist in everyone. I truly agree that we all have a touch of creativity inside all of us!
    Pick me, pick me!! :)

  • Wow, great custom! I love how clean your lines look on all your customs, they really look professional. Thanks Destination for doing a great contest! BTW Pick me!

  • Amazing work as always Evilos. Out of all of your customs I have seen I think my favorite is your 9″ Eeyore. The added hair to that one is simply fantastic!

  • Once again, another great custom. Evil Kermit looks amazing!!! This is one of my favorite Evilos customs. I’m always wondering, “What is Evilos going to come up with next?” Of course, his customs never dissapoint and leave you waiting for more.

  • this is one of the sickest vinylmations that i’ve seen! great job evilos on this project! i would love to add this to my small collection!!!

  • Evilos does such great custom vinylmation work. He has inspired me to start creating my own customs! :o) Keep the great ones coming, I love admiring your work!

  • It almost looks like this Kermit vinyl is going to eat me (a vicious mouth, but I LOVE IT). Great job, EVILOS :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

  • I love the Evil Kermit! I especially like that it is on the old vinylmation mold instead of the new one which I loath entirely :(

  • This one is sweet! Unlike the others. I dont want him. I NEED this. Or I fear if I dont win this I shall be very sad for a long time.

  • Evilos has done some seriously amazing work on many awesome customs. Paving the way for those of us who have that idea to make it reality. Plus its just so cool looks like kermit & spawn had a baby!!!!!

  • That is a great custom I love the detail you put into your work Evilos. You have alot of fans here. They wouldn’t even comment here if you didn’t have talent. Your tron figures were some of the best of there. Keep up the good work. Hoping to have some of your work one day :) Thank you again.

  • “It’s not easy being green.” -Kermit the Frog.. exactly why he turned black and evil!!! TO many people made fun of him!!!!!

Would love to have this =)

  • I bought a vinylmation for my daughter when they first came out – didn’t even know what it was… Now she is a crazy collector! This would be a fantastic addition to her collection.

  • Evilos:
You said you use Testor spray paints, but do you use blue painters tape to seal off certain areas (or what do you use?). Thanks for the tips. Love your designs!!!!

  • I remember going to one of the releases and seeing evilos with his evil Kermit in his shoulder bag! :) great work out there in my opinion you customs are more creative then Noah’s. Just my opinion. Keep up the great work!

  • These artists are so talented! Walt Disney said, “Animation offers a medium of story telling and visual entertainment which can bring pleasure and information to people of all ages everywhere in the world.”

  • Very cool. Looks like the Disney artists could take a little inspiration from your unique designs.

  • Thats it folks, can’t wait to see who won. I cannot believe the amount of comments today. Thank you everyone for being so kind, its a pleasure. Good luck.

    • Totally! We can’t believe the amazing response to this contest. We’d like to say thanks both Evilos for the amazing prize and all our fans who commented! We’ll have the results tomorrow on our podcast! Thanks again everyone!
