Special thanks to @indyandmarion for the pictures of the Cars 2 set that was out during the Cars 2 event at Downtown Disney Florida this weekend. We thought this might have been a set of 12, but it looks like it’s a two pack, like a previous Pixar set, Wall-E and Eve. Both pieces utilize the “New Mold”. No word on a release date or cost.

Here’s the giant Cars vinylmation that we saw several months ago. Little did we know, but this pointed to which characters were going to be part of the Cars 2 set!
Definitely a must have. Very detailed and just all around unique. Now I just need to find someone to buy them for me, assuming they’re not going up online. Although I can’t tell if I’d like the old mold better, I have to say that I actually do like the look of the new molds on these guys. I also like that Disney is going with the matte finish instead of glossy.
