Ep. 029 Monkey
Loads of great information in this show. We start out by selecting our Vinyl All Star 9 from the first half of the year. My Line Up
1. Chip from Rescue Rangers
(one of my favorite shows as a child. a must have set, but always loved chip. i’d drag)
2. Storm Trooper
(Always have loved Stormtroopers. it’s detailed and well designed. it’s as good as Vader, in my opinion)
3. Cactus
(Simple… but love it – and of course i owe the one in my collection completely to the kindness and generosity of Nick :), so how could it not be in my lineup? )
4. Griffin
(Love the tail. love the design.)
5. S’mores
(my favorite from the Cutesters Too Set. When i saw it, before we started collecting as heavily as we do now, it was the one i wanted from that set.)
6. Steel Mickey
(I’ve wanted steampark since i’ve started collecting. this figure is just amazing)
7. Nerds Dale.
(if you have a chip, you have to have a dale. since i won’t include the RR pack, this is the next best thing. the chip and dale nerds are my favorite.)
8. Sunny Eclipse
(while i don’t really even know the show like Nicke, but man… such a well designed piece. i mean… really well designed.)
9. 40th Anniversary Set.
(Yeah, I’m steeling MC’s idea. I started collecting vinylmations because i’m an artist, and i loved designs on disney. these are amazing designs, and i’m glad to have the whole set including variants.)
I was sad i didn’t see you at at the Steampark Release!! maybe i missed you. it was my first (and possibly only) release date.
It’s true. i like two for purchasing limits. I traded a Tailspin at the trading event friday for an Admiral Donald set. It was nice to have an extra. And i have to side with Nick… any GOOD system can easily manage an inventory. any BASIC system can.
also, as far as the new mold, i think it’s very incorrect to say that Mickey looks awesome on the new mold. i think it looks like crap. at least as far as this picture goes (scroll to bottom):
