Nick Corjay’s 7/10/11 Magic Kingdom Photo Report

WDWNT Reporter Nick Corjay returns with an update on the Magic Kingdom taken on Sunday, so let’s take a look:

Today was the first day the store was closed.

The firehouse is closed, rumors say it will either be re-purposed for meet and greets or a Magic Kingdom “quest center” of some kind… more on that later…

And now, the main event: Fantasyland construction! Here’s the Dumbo building in Storybook Circus

Walls up around the Speedway

More Dumbo queue construction

Pooh and Tigger have had to move over closer to the Mad Tea Party thanks to the expanding walls

The facade of Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid is coming along nicely

The basic shape of Prince Eric’s castle is as clear as day

Looking good…

The Dumbo queue

Looks like they are ripping apart more of the Barnstormer load area

The frame of the rock-work now encases the Be Our Guest restaurant building

An overall look at the Beauty and the Beast area

Some of the more complete rock-work

A lot of frame work…

Not much progress on the castle walls since we last checked in

The Fantasyland Skyway Station is still gone…

Facade work continues in Frontierland

Rumors are that this work is connected to adding interactive quests similar to the Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure to the Magic Kingdom

Pecos Bill’s still behind tarps

No management change yet

Hard to believe this will be re-opened in about a month since we haven’t really seen much progress outside

It will be interesting to watch this unfold…

Ariel and Eric are still greeting guests in Adventureland

  1. I will celebrate when the "Under New Management" part of that sign comes down! Hoo RAH!

  2. I'm sad the fire station is closing :( I wonder if it will reopen when Fanstasyland expassion opens. We have always loved going in there and making it a point to go just b/c my dad has been a fire fighter for over 40 years, and my husband for over 10. Will they sell the merchandise in the emporium as well?
