Vinylmation Custom Artist Cesar Diaz has a very special announcement:

For a while now I’ve had this idea where I want to put together a custom Vinylmation art show. Well that idea is now becoming a reality. I’ve already booked an art gallery to display the custom vinyls I make. But I didn’t stop there! I have invited 5 more custom artists to join me and display their work as well. The artists that are involved are Celeste Villanueva, Chelsey Zhang, Lucas Yoshida, Jesus Paez and Angie Annett. I’m calling the show “The Customation Project” It will be hosted my PROXART. Check out their website proxart.org to find out more info on them. The show will be on September 24th from 7pm-10pm  in the city of Newhall CA. I think this vinyl show will be a great way to bring art fans, vinyl fans, Disney fans all together.

Thanks for your time
-Cesar Diaz

  • How come an Artist like Evilos was not invited?

His artwork ranks among the Disney contracted artists and in some cases surpasses theirs.

  • This would have been a lot cooler if there had been like a contest where a bunch of artists sumbitted their designs and the best ones were in the show. Then you would get a more diverse showing, it would give more artists and the event more exposure, and more people would be invested in it.

This is what I was thinking, this could of been a huge event (it still can be) and alot of other artists could of helped promote this big time. I wish them the best of luck and kudos for putting this together.

  • I was wondering if some of the artist can bring thier best custom piece and put it up for auction to a charity of thier choice. Maybe we can help raise some money as well for this event.

  • For now only the five artists mentioned above will feature their work. I didn’t want to make this show too big because the art gallery is seriously super small and can only accommodate a small crowd. Once I see what the turn around will be, that will help me decide how big to make the 2nd custom show. Believe me, I plan to do another one. My original idea was to have it at my brothers company KREATIV. He has a really big art gallery and I was planning on inviting more artists. But that idea fell through. Favian Romo is the owner of the art gallery that the show will be held at. I’m limited with space so I only had room to invite 5 more artists. This show is just for display purposes only. If anyone what’s to buy any of the pieces there, the artist has to contact the buyer on their own time. Like I said before, I want to start off small and work from there.
