Lion King Confirmed at D23

Lion King now joins the It’s a Small World Jr. 4 set as being confirmed to make it’s debut at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, CA later this month.

Lion King will show up at D23 on the last day, Sunday, August 21. As rumored, there will also be an artist signing beginning at 10am that same day. Lion King will be a Disney Store exclusive and will officially hit shelves on August 29.

  1. Just saw the photos of the figures. Holy New Mold! They look amazing! (Except Rafiki. Just seems a little off. I would have thought they would have done a “It Is Time!” face for him, or a humbled look. Maybe the face he had when he was laughing as he painted the mane around Simba’s carving in Rafiki’s Tree.

    “Remember Who You Are” Ghost Mufasa as the chaser. (Not confirming, just calling it)

    I don’t mind whatever face he has because he has his own accessory stick!!!! Actually the only one I’m not too keen on is Pumba, couldn’t they have used a “nicer” facial expression?

    However what about the hyenas, the new mold is great in displaying their personalities. Just a little offtopic but the new mold works with this set however doesn’t with others such as the less popular pirates and cutesters too, I’m not against the new mold just against it when it doesn’t work.
