Walt Disney’s Alice in Wonderland is a 1951 animated classic. Walt was always fascinated with Lewis Carroll’s stories of Alice and used the character in many productions before this. He toyed with the idea of mixing live action and animation but settled on a fully animated feature. The animation in this film is fascinating with a brilliant Wonderland designed by Mary Blair of Small World fame. Filled with many memorable characters, this film is perfect for a set of Vinylmation all to it’s own.
Update: 11/3/11 At the D-Street Orlando Alice release on Friday 11/4, there will be 3 one-of-a-kind 9″ Alice customs available for $1000 each.
Disney also showed off some packaging details. As with the entire set, the box and tray art was designed by Thomas Scott.

Update: 10/2/11 Alice release dates announced. 11/4 at D-Street Disney World and 11/5 D-Street Disneyland. On the 5th at Disneyland artist Thomas Scott will also be signing from 10 AM – Noon.

Update: 8/29/11 We added some pictures from D23 and now have confirmed that Thomas Scott is the artist of the entire set.
Update: 5/31/11 According to a comment from Kristi, the eBay sale has been pulled. Also, based on various opinions, it seems likely that the piece was stolen or pulled from a trash bin.
Update: 5/30/11 Disney has just gotten back to us about the Alice series. It has not been officially released yet in any part of the world and they are looking into how any of the figures got out and onto eBay. They are currently working on this and other matters to ensure good communication between all the places that carry Vinylmation and smooth out release issues.
Update: 5/30/11 There was a listing for the Green Hedgehog on eBay. It has been listed by a seller in Hong Kong (thank @lindols)We do not know the details of the release, or if it has been officially released. We have contacted Disney and are awaiting a response. We have also learned by the seller’s photo that the Green Hedgehog, therefor maybe the entire set, was designed by Thomas Scott.

Dinah Alice’s cat. There was a piece on eBay that lead us to think this is a piece in the set. It didn’t show up as part of the normal set. Is this a Combo Topper? |

I’m really excited for this. Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorites and it’s my favourite book. I would love to see Mad March Hare, Bill the Lizard, Dodo bird. I could go on and on. Thanks for the heads up

I really like the idea that vinylmation collections are becoming more centered in a particular movie such as Alice and Wonderland, TRON, and Star Wars. Wouldn’t it be incredible if there were sets for Lion King, Little Mermaid, and other Disney classics. This is great!!!

I can’t wait until they make an entire series of just SNOW WHITE!!!! I am still searching for Snow White from Park 2.
I would like to thank Disney for coming up with the new mold so now I have a chance to get all vinylmations because I have a point where I can stop buying them. No sea creatures, no alice in wonderland, no cars, no pirates and I am sure the list will continue to grow.
Anyone know when this will be released?
Despite it being on new mold I’m a huge Wonderland fan so I would love to see this set happen. I have to say that I hope it doesn’t release till late in the year or next year though, I feel like there are plenty of releases scheduled for this year already.

Ya, the figure popped up on eBay this morning. You can follow the link in the post above to the listing.
It’s a shame that Vinylmations have fallen in the same “scrapper” footprint as Disney pins. As long as they are made in factories in poorer parts of the world, employees are going to steal them to sell for profits. Every one of the vinyls that the seller on ebay, who is selling the Hedgehog, is damaged. They did not pass quality control. You can see the imperfections in all. They are rejects that were designated to be destroyed, not for someones pocket. Another sign is the seller listed 4 or 5 Boos, all defective. Of course, the seller could have opened 4 or 5 Sully/Boos at $75 each and let his kids play with them, then decide to sell them. Which do you believe?
I wish Disney could figure a way to secure their products, but as popularity grows, so will temptation to profit. Unfortunately, it lessens the reliability of buying Vinylmations on the secondary market. Which of you wants a fake in your collection that you paid too much for?
the green hedge hog has been pulled from ebay, but did u notice that it might have looked fake as it had blemishes on the face and near the feet spots. not a good look for a new item not even out yet!!! love alice all around cannot wait for entire set to come out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

got mine at dland dstreet calif. was there at 815am and no line. got in and out quick. was with a friend and he got variant hedgehog!!! :( line was beginning to start for signing around 830am.

I believe the Cheshire Cat 2-pack is coming out in 2012? Not sure on an exact date though…anyone else have more info on that set?
