The Rescuers Fly into Vinylmation

Today vinylmationtraders.com found some pictures of a new limited edition set from Animation 2. Similar to the Park 7 Kitchen Kabaret and the Alice in Wonderland Cheshire set, this looks like a limited edition set of 3″ figures. Check out Bernard and Bianca from The Rescuers.
Both figures are by Casey Jones and is $26.95.

They are from the 1977 Disney animated film.

They also reported that the Fife and Drum set will be released at $44.95 on January 27th.

Also, the 9″ Park 7 ELP Dragon for $74.95.

That seems steep for a single 9″ and our look at the side of the 9″ Park 7 shows it isn’t accompanied by a 3″.

Great addition to the set, and I’m glad to see some 3″ Limited Editions. Although I wish Fife and Drum were 10 bucks cheaper. What are your thoughts on The Rescuers?

  1. Omg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!thse two never get their deserved spotlight. These two are from my two favorite Disney films growing up. I would spend the night on a glacier of it meant I got this set!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Not really interested in RDU Vinyls…However, Fife & Drum $45???? No way! I don’t care how nice they look, not paying $22.50 for a 3″ Vinyl!

    • We are just reporting the rumored news we found, not stating it as fact. You are right, it would be very odd.

  3. All the figures with hats, and Bernard doesn’t get one? Eh. Pass. Not just because of the hat, but there’s something that doesn’t look right.

    • I agree. Going back to what DV talked about on this week’s podcast, these are two characters who would have greatly benefited from sculpted hats.

I think the reason they look slightly off is because the designs in the movie have their ears sticking out of the sides of their head, whereas these have the ears sticking out of the top. Overall they’re not bad.

  4. I think they look great. I love how close the faces look to the original Rescuers, the eyes without white backgrounds. Love them!

  5. Is there a release date for them? Was there ever a release for the Cheshire pack too? I couldn’t find any info on them

  6. I really hope that’s a misprint on the price of the ELP 9′. I love the Electrical Light Parade and this was going to be my one and only 9′. But if it’s 74.95, I will be rethinking it :(

    • Yea I do not collect 9″ ( although roger might be first) but it has to be especially since 9″ have not been doing well with the sales on some that have me considering buying them.

Is it possible that it actually lights up? Just tossing ideas as to why it would be 74.95 if it is true.
