Our friend @DVCwinner tweeted today that the Disney Store 25th Anniversary Series will finally be released on March 28th, which just so happens to be the exact day of their 25th anniversary. On that day in 1987 the first Disney Store opened in Glendale, California. (We’ve also heard this date from other sources)

After the delay are you (reader) still interested in this series (if you ever were)? Let us know…

I don’t know about you, but there are times when planning a Disney vacation can be overwhelming! There are so many options, where to stay, when to go, is this the best price. • It’s such an oddball group of characters being represented in this set. Honestly all I would like is the Sorcerer Mickey figure, Rapunzel, and Eeyore. So I doubt I’ll go after this set. (I usually want to have 6-7 figures at least that I want before I start collecting a set. Anything lower is just asking for duplicates that I won’t want)

  • Am I the only one who doesn’t like the look of these vinylmations? These are definatley not a set I will be excited to get .

    • No, I’ve heard others with the same issues. Personally I, MC, think it’s cool for some of the unique characters they use. A lot will depend on what they look like lite up too.

  • With Park 8 being released a month earlier, it’s going to be hard for me to justify buying this series. Although I think the light-up is cool, but I don’t know if it was worth the wait.

  • I’m still really excited about it. I collect what I like and don’t collect full sets, so the timing doesn’t matter for me. My local Disney store is about an hour away from me but I’m planning on making the trip! I’d be happy with pretty much any of the characters in this set and will, of course, get Sorcerer Mickey.

  • So did we ever hear and official reason for the delay? Or was this just an after thought of the original release date of “Hey, we should delay this to release it on the actual anniversary?”

  • I like all of them except Grumpy. And I REALLY want Rapunzel, but if i happen to get any of the other ones I will be happy. I think they’re cute
