New 9″ CYO: Covered in Mickeys

View of new CYO in D-Street Orlando display case

On the heels of the brick pattern CYO comes this interesting 9″ covered in Mickeys. The price is $42.95 and it will be released at D-Street on the February 10th, 2012. What do you think of these new CYOs? I’m not really sure why this is a thing. The bricks made more sense then this. What can you create with this.

  1. I was never planning to make a 9″ CYO with a load of mickey faces on it, I’m therefore not going to buy it. As said the CYO brick pattern makes a lot more sense, than some black outlines of mickey faces. Just reminds me of a colouring book.

  2. When are they gonna come out with the CYO with new mold? Although I like the old mold for creating your own art it would be much easier without the nose in the way.

  3. This would have made a decent 3″ back in Urban 2 or 3. I like the simplicity of the Mickeys and the distinct black outline used. The light purple/blue outline used in Urban 2 Paint By Numbers or U3 WDW Puzzle was a little too subtle compared to this 9″ presentation. At $42.95, it’s too steep for the price. I may pick one up if it goes to 50% off or less.

    • One other idea on this one….use it as a family momento of trips to a Disney Park. Each time you make a trip, you get to color in a Mickey head. Maybe even put the date that you visit in the head.

      • That’s a really cool idea. In fact I’ve been pondering taking a bunch of my random stuff like ticket stubs and park maps and stickers and photos and making a 9″ custom collage. This may make a good base for that.

  4. While the Mickey heads are small. I could see using three colors from a character to fill in them in. (Yellow in one ear, black in the other, white head for a representation of Mickey. Blue, White, Yellow for donald).
