Super Vinylmation Sunday!

Super Vinylmation Sunday!

This Sunday the Patriots face the Giants in Super Bowl XLVI. After the game, Disney will release a special commemorative figure designed by Eric Caszatt that will feature the winning teams colors and log on the front of the jersey. This figure will be available online only and is limited release, not edition. Does this new figure appeal to Vinylmation fans outside the Patriots and Giants fans? Also, I’d rather see a figure like this an LE, not limited release. How about you?

  1. As a commemorative item, this is an OK design, but not something I will chase. It is surprising Disney is not selling both team colors to try and double their money. Why just sell the winning team colors? Fans love their team. I wonder how much it will retail for and how long will the Limited Release be?

  2. I really don’t like either team playing but, am a HUGE football fan, so, this will defitnely be going in my collection, right next to my custom super bowl trophy 9″.

  3. The super bowl vinylmation doesn’t do anything for me. The design is simple. They should focus on making them Disney appeal. I’d love to see a snow white series 3″ instead of this

  4. This would have been cooler to have been like Silver (like the Trophy) or Black (with silver outlining). Choosing awful colors that have nothing to do with the teams that are playing, doesn’t make any sense.

    • What you say about the colors makes sense. The colors do not represent either team not even do they represent the host stadium’s team color. Blue and White of Colts fame would be a good color for the SB vinyl.

  5. Everyone needs to read the post again. It says the vinyl will have the winning team’s colors. It will not be the red and tan shown. I believe it was shown this way to not show a bias for the outcome.

  6. While I’m not a sports fan, I think this is a really cool idea for people who are football (and vinylmation/Disney) fans. I also like that it isn’t a limited edition. Disney can make just enough of them for everyone who places an order, yet everyone who wants one can get one.
