Funny story about the Mr. Ray. I was driving down Victory Road while working one day doing transfers (luggage) headed probably to Caribbean or Pop Century and traffic was at a complete halt because they were bringing the Mr. Ray all wrapped up (but obviously him because of the shape. It was a pretty cool sight to see.
Tony – that is a cool story of your sighting when you actually see props being moved. I saw one of the Nautilus being moved and many years later a large tree being transported – has to stop and there are a lot of on lookers. This is usually done at night but sometimes Imagineer's have to do it during the day during low traffic hours. The sighting is really awe inspiring and you get a tingle of excitement inside.
WDWNT – Fantastic pics of the larger than life Nemo and Friends statues as the resort is closer to opening day. This is such a cool themed resort that everyone will feel a part of. I hope I can reserve a suite with my DVC points sometime in the future.
anyone else think that dorrie looks too small in comparison to nemo and marlin?
I am completely blown away by the beauty of this hotel. I am DEFINITELY going to try to stay here in the future. I don't really have an interest in the Cars wing or the Lion King wing, but the Mermaid and Nemo wings are GORGEOUS to me. I love the ocean theming and the giant pool.
Is this the first value resort with inside access rooms? That is a big reason why I never stay in moderate or value resorts. This would be a big deal to me.
