So there you have it, only 3 Vinylmation announced for this event. I think that in and of itself is pretty disappointing. The designs however are generally fantastic. I really like the look of the Minnie and Goofy set. Minnie with her headgear and Goofy with his circus outfit. It all looks colorful and well detailed. Although the Mickey looks fantastic, it is just missing that Wow factor for an event vinyl. I do like the way Ron has styled the retro looking faces. I think the proportions on Minnie and Mickey are some of the best we have seen to date on the new mold. I also love the way Goofy’s snout and eyes are drawn. I think it is a big miss not to have other Disney characters in this set. I’ll be breaking the pins down soon and you will see the great variety there as opposed to the vinyl. Let us know your initial thoughts on the offering for Mickey’s Circus and don’t forget, there will be one more figure, most likely kept secret, that is given out at the event. Please, please, please be a Donald.

  1. Many people call me the Vinylmation apologist because I have been known to support changes in vinyls that most dont (new mold, cardboard vs tin, higher LE). However if this is the entirety of the Vinylmation for this event I will be disappointed and surprised. The lack of 9 inch figures is sad as also will mean the available figures will be bought up faster! I imagine more figures will be announced!

  2. I also think they might be scared to do another 9″ after the Mickey/Dumbo combo from last year didn’t sell out. It is not only still available, but discounted.

  3. I believe there may be 2 more at the very least! one will be the gift that comes with your registration (Minnie last year) and then special trade vinyl (orange bird last year). Even still feel rather lite on merchandise, i haven’t seen the pin catalog but i bet it has tons of item available for their event.

    • Yes, there will for sure be at least 2 more. The one you get through trading with Cast Members at the event and the gift with registration like you mention.

  4. So just for registering you get another vinylmation?. Im confused. Ive never been to one of these vinylmation events but it sounds cool?

    • Yes, check out the explained page for details (now linked at top of post and comment below). But yes, for registering, you get a “gift” figure and then there is another figure you can get exclusively through trading with Cast Members at the event. Then you have the opportunity to purchase the figures shown above.

    • Yes, these will all be released at the Mickey’s Circus event September 7-9. Registration for the ticketed event begins May 19th. You must register to have a chance to purchase the initial offering of merchandise. Left over merchandise will then be available at other locations.

  5. Mickey is okay but I really don’t like Minnie ir Goofy o well at least they’re saving me money ;)
