Frequently Asked Questions:

Q.     I pre-purchased a PhotoCD online before my vacation, can I upgrade toPhotoPass+?

R.      Yes, if you pre-purchased a PhotoCD online before your trip you may upgrade your PhotoCD to PhotoPass+ at PhotoPass view stations throughout the Walt Disney World Parks, Downtown Disney, and select Resorts.  You will need the name, phone number, and email address that was used to purchase the PhotoCD.

Q.     Can I pre-order PhotoPass+?

R.      At this time PhotoPass+ will only be available for purchase at the PhotoPass View Stations located throughout Walt Disney World and is not available online or for pre-purchase.

Q.     I have a large family—how many PhotoPass+ cards will I receive?

R.      Only one PhotoPass+ card will be provided with each purchase.  However, multiple PhotoPass cards can be accumulated during your visit, and all of those photos can be added to your account.  In order to receive your Attraction and Dining photos, the PhotoPass+card holder must be present at the time of photo capture.

Q.     PhotoPass+ is not the right product for me at this time.  Will the PhotoCD still be available for purchase?

R.      Yes – if you decide that PhotoPass+ is not the right product for you at this time, you can still purchase the PhotoCD.

Q.     Can I add attraction and dining photos that were taken before I purchasedPhotoPass+?

R.      Unfortunately we cannot add photos previously taken to the PhotoPass+ product.  Only photos taken within the 14 day window, which begins on the date of purchase, will be included in your PhotoPass+ package and available for you to add to your PhotoCD.

  1. Great new service. WE always pre-order the photobook/CD package, then end up paying extra for teh restaurant photos.

  2. I was going to say why only 14 days?  Many spend 14+ days there.

It is a massive saving though if you book as many ADR's as I do, the dinner photos are around $20 each, for one copy.  Ride photos the same.  We'd save more than the cost of this on those photos.
Maybe not such a good deal if you only do one or two ADR's or don't do the big rides.

  3. We're the same, our photopass had been pre-ordered a while for our October trip, we always end up buying the meal and ride photos as well so this will save us a lot :D

  4. in the FAQs you say that PhotoPass cards can be added to the PhotoPass+… what if I get my regular photopass cards BEFORE I upgrade to plus? can I still add those ones to the Plus?

  5. 14 days is not enough.  Most people are short of cash after a Disney vacation.  We would have ordered Christmas cards and many photos if we had more time to access our photos.  We ordered a copy of our favorite and scanned it at Target to create our Christmas card.  It was Disney's loss.

  6. OK, so I'm trying to make sure I understand this all.  We're planning on pre-purchasing the photo pass (as it is then $120 instead of $160).  If we then "upgrade" when we arrive (since it's only a 14 day window), will we just pay the $40 difference between the regularly priced photo pass? or will we have to pay $80 to reach the full $200 price?

  7. Be warned. I had to pay $84.00 to upgrade totally negating my discount I received for purchasing in advance. No one at WDW seems to understand why I feel ripped off. This may be my last Disney Trip (After 7 and a cruise) over $50.00 because no one at Disney seems to care.
