In between recording the various podcasts I already do and working my normal paying jobs, I had some time I only wasted by sleeping and eating. So when Austin came to me with the idea for a brand new podcast, I said why not? His idea was to discuss “This Week in Disney History.” We brainstormed a few different ways to present this podcast, and it is still a work in progress, but we just finished our third episode and would like to present to you, the YesterEARS podcast.

About the Show

The concept we settled on is to focus on four main topics per show. They are; a memorable moment in Disney Parks history, Disney Movie history, Disney Music history and Disney Cartoon history. This format will allow us to continue into future years and not repeat topics when the same dates roll around. We also run down the birthdays of people connected in some way to anything Disney. This segment usually creates some wandering conversations about our personal thoughts about these people or what they did. In the middle of the show, we have some fun by creating a spoof commercial for one of the events we found out about that week. Each show, we also present some trivia questions for you to answer and then we challenge each other to do or watch something related to what we discovered that show.

The fantastic thing about this podcast is how much we learn about Disney history. Not just the events themselves, but all the little details that are uncovered when researching them. We hope you learn something each show and are taken down memory lane right along with us. As Disney fans ourselves, we have a connection to a lot of the topics discussed and we share our experiences with you. And we encourage you to share with us as well.
