UPDATE- WDW Trade Night!!! April 30th

Update: 4/24/13 New start time plus news. The Disney Parks Blog says that the event will take place from 5-9 p.m. The event will be in the Grill and the adjacent lobby. There will be NO Vinylmation trading table. Space will be super limited. Good luck!

4/12/13– Over the past few days, collectors on every Vinylmation fan site have been discussing an unofficial fan sponsored trade night. Did we scare them into making this move? Out of nowhere, the Disney Merchandise Blog today announced a Walt Disney World Trade Night on Tuesday, April 30th held, where else, but the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The free activity will be held from 5-9 p.m. at EPSN Grill and Josten’s Center.

Both Vinylmation and Pin collectors are of course welcome and there will be two LE 750 Pin Trading Night pins available for $15.95 each.

For those who need it, here is a link to the ESPN WWOS Maps and Directions page.

  1. This is great news! I can buy some mystery boxes again! It will be fun to see fellow collectors too!

  2. ……so the event will be held in the broom closet afterall!! Will someone attending the event please count the number of large empty rooms they pass on the way to the closet?

    • lol. Yeah this is kinda weird. They will still have the artist signing and the product display tables.

  3. Yeah… and clearly this is not a vinylmation promoted event as there will be no trading.

  4. I’m done with vinylmations. Disney has turned it into a joke. One trade, per park, per day?? I was just at Magic Kingdom today, and was told at the Emporium that the box was moved now moved to Frontierland. Epcot’s box is still at Mouse Gears. Completely forgot to try to trade while at Hollywood Studios (no real fun to it anymore, in my opinion), so don’t know where their vaulted box is. Didn’t go to Animal Kindgom this weekend.

New designs are getting more and more hideous. Trading has been severely clipped. Prices went up. Fun is GONE.

I’m seriously thinking about making a sign that says, “I HAVE VINYLS FOR TRADE” to wear when at the parks. We need to do something on our own to bring back the fun before the vinyls are phased out (a CM told me that something new is REPLACING vinyls! Urghhhhhh!!!).
