This 12 figure, mystery set was designed by both Maria Clapsis and Caley Hicks and may be my favorite movie themed Vinylmation set ever.

Wonderful design. Love the facial expression. Perfect cape! |

Belle
Maria went with the blue dress, and I love the choice. Leaves room for a few variants or special edition Belles. The use of ears is fantastic in the entire series with the stained glass… Belle also has a book and a rose. |

Blonde Triplet Paula
We speculated on how and if they would include these girls and this sets up an obvious variant. If the other two girls are not included, a major disappointment. If they are… one of the biggest wins in Vinylmation history. We also get variants. As expected her other triplets.  |

Cogsworth
Perfect fit on the Mickey platform. Wonderful face. |

Gaston
I’ll be honest, I love the Villains version more, but he is done well with the arrows on the back and fun ears. |

Phillipe
I didn’t expect him, yet am glad he is in the set. might be the one of the best looking long animals on the Mickey platform. Perfect proportions. |

Lefou
His build naturally fits onto the vinyl form, but it is the clothing that is tailored perfectly around the canvas and the pony tail hanging over the collar in the back that make this one great. |

Lumiere
Can’t get any better than this. the accessory top was a must to make this figure perfect I commend the artists for knowing when to use items like that. |

Maurice
Belle’s dad also gets gets a cape and again, it’s the faces that are done so well in this set. |

Monsieur D’arque
Interesting add to this set. Really makes me wonder about the chaser even more now. I love the addition and the design is wonderful. Not many people would think of him for this set, so I applaud the artist. Coins in ear a must. |

Mrs. Potts
WOW! This one blows me away. So much to see here. A clear pink body sets up the table and some dancing plates, spoons and forks. Then Mrs. Potts fills out the head with perfection and a handle drawn onto the rear. THEN, CHIP! Drawn onto the ear. Best figure in the set, hands down. |

Mystery Chaser
Here is Adam, the Beast as a human. What do you think? My female friends (when I was in middle school) always said he was hotter as the beast. |
When I heard about this series I thought instantly on what the chaser might (and should) be – The rose. Since they’ve done so well with the stained glass window, why not go with a completely clear vinyl with an outline of the rose painted on the backside. It will look like it’s in the holder like in the movie. It’s something that I think a lot of collectors would like to have, as well as use with the wonderful 25th anniversary light-up piece. It would look amazing illuminating on my shelf!
I agree with you about Gaston. I prefer the Villains version too.
My guesses for the chaser: the witch who cursed Beast, the wardrobe or the broomstick.
I was disappointed though with Lumiere’s hands.
Can’t wait! Chaser should be Beast in human form.

Well since I spent the time to complain about park 12 on the other post, I may as well show this one some love.I have over 200 vinyls, and as yet have not one complete set.But that will change with this set!!!Beauty and the Beast is my absolute favorite Disney animated film.But believe me when I say if this set wasn’t everything i hoped it would be I would have no problem cherry picking the characters I thought were good and leaving the rest.But this set is so cohesive and brilliant because of the stained glass ears I have to buy the whole thing!!!
I may have not understood the info correctly but i thought BATB was suppised to be released at Disney Store retail locations. I went today and they didnt hve them. I had other stuff going on and didn’t remember to ask a CM. Am i just misunderstanding info?
I don’t think you are misunderstanding the info. Although the Disney Parks merchandise (which BATB is) gets frequent updates on the new Disney Parks Merchandise Blog, the Disney Store has completely stopped advertising their Vinylmation releases online. We have to rely on the info the Merchandise bloggers get from the Disney Store… and the communication isn’t that good. That being said, it seem BATB would be in retail locations too, but that might not be the case. It was designed by the Disney Design Group as opposed to Disney Store Artists, so it may never make it into the brick and mortar Disney Stores.
BATB cases and blind boxes are available at all the local Disney Store retail locations in my area.
I just realized something. If the Expo has a two pack of the pair in their winter outfits…. What are the chances that Belle & Beast in their formal attire will be released as a two pack? Pretty sure there were some people who were expecting Belle in her ball gown.
Anyone know if there will be any more of these released by Disney?
