Get your iPhone and iPad ready for some ghost hunting at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year…

The official description reads:

Be a part of the Halloween mayhem in this augmented reality experience where 3D Disney Characters come to life!

The Hitchhiking Ghosts have escaped, and they’ve created Mayhem at the Mansion!

To help bring the ghosts back to Haunted Mansion®, Guests attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party* at Magic Kingdom® Park can look for the ghosts on their event map (available beginning September 9). Help capture every ghost and then send them back to Haunted Mansion!

Who knows. If you should want to join the rest of the spooks in the Haunted Mansion®, they are always making room for more. Any volunteers?

Download this target to try it now and watch a special message with Vampire Mickey!

*This is a separately priced, ticket event.

This event begins September 9th, so it will not be working at the first parties for some reason. Guests will be using the camera on their phone to fin, capture, and return guests to the Haunted Mansion through this app.

The app is now available for download in the App Store if you would like to explore the backstory and more of the functionality of the game.

Credit to Stitch Kingdom for finding the app.

Will there be an Android version?

Haunted Mansion “Ghost Capture” Game Coming to Mickey;s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2014 | Walt Disney World Vacation Planning Guide

I bet there will be only an iPhone version for now even though there are 3x more Android users on the market. It must be something that Disney is in contract with Apple – just speculating. I just switched carriers and I’m back to the iPhone but I did keep my Android because I can use it anywhere there is free wi-fi plus I live the camera on it :-)

When I follow the link, it says App is not available in the US. What??
