The news of the Studio Backlot Tour closing was broken by on Friday, September 19th, 2014. Rumors persist that the area may be used for small scale Toy Story attractions, a smaller version of Cars Land from Disney California Adventure, or possibly even a Star Wars-themed land. No official announcement for the replacement project has been announced by Disney at this time.
