I can’t believe they cannot take this apart in a week. Is it really that difficult? (not trying to sound rude or condescending)
If its built to stand hurricane winds like almost everything at disney then I hope not. It should take a while. Its not like you can just throw a wreaking ball at it. It has to be deconstructed. Instead of demolished.
I agree with you both. Feels like it should be a quick job, especially with the high regards I attribute to Disney for efficiency and progress. But, in actuality, a lot of planning did go in to making the hat durable. It should take a while you deconstruct its intricacies.
Wonder where things like this go to die..Like the big hand and wand they took off of Spaceship Earth. Do they recycle it or store it somewhere?
It would be great if they’d recycle it. Stuff that’s huge like this more often than not ends up in the hands of a reseller and from there they can be found literally rotting in place (see the junkyard monorail one reseller has) It bodes very badly with Disney fans. If they can re-purpose it over in fantasmic, or as someone else mentioned make it look like a cozy cone in a new pixar land, that would be for the best and it would have a cool story with it.
they reused the animatronics from America Sings to Splash Mountain
