Disney today confirmed that Creature Comforts at Animal Kingdom is being converted into a Starbucks location, as we speculated several weeks ago:

Creature Comforts is being re-imagined and will also be serving Starbucks coffee and espresso beverages, as well as Frappuccino blended beverages and signature breakfast sandwiches and pastries.

  1. I don’t mind Starbucks in the parks, if for no other than reason than the removal of Joffrey’s. If I’m paying three bucks for a coffee, I’ll take Starbucks over Joffrey’s every single time.

    • Joffrey’s isn’t going away. With the exception of the Starbucks locations, Joffrey’s provides all other coffee at WDW & DL.

      • Fair enough. Overall, it’s very nice to have an option other than Joffrey’s in these locations. Starbucks fits nicely in that mold, and I doubt many people would argue the quality of integration/construction on the current Disney Starbucks locations.

The standalone location at Downtown Disney is phenomenal.

  2. Oh no! Starbucks coffee is awful. I had it in the Magic Kingdom and it was completely tasteless. I actually asked if they’d put the coffee in as it was so weak. If I want coffee now, I’ll jump on the monorail to the Polynesian and go to the Kona Cafe – they serve REAL, flavourful coffee that is hot. The stuff at Starbucks is lukewarm milk with very little added coffee.
