I took a trip over to Disney Springs recently to see the latest progress on all of the construction, so here are some photos of what I found while I was there:
Planet Hollywood has begun their complete remodel of the establishment
The new Disney Springs bus loop looks like it could be ready soon
The Marketplace parking structure continues to rise
Well, we figured out where the Coca-Cola retail location is going
Looks like there may be a rolling belt along the building moving bottles around, but that’s just our guess. And no, it’s not World of Coke…
Another look at Planet Hollywood
STK Steakhouse should open in March
Another counter service location operated by Raglan Road is being constructed
Forty Thirst Street Express became simply Joffrey’s at some point
The menu boards didn’t even change though
The Sign Shop is gone from Marketplace Co-Op, replaced by the Attractionistas dolls which Disney is trying to get rolling
Some of the newer phone case designs at D-Tech on Demand
Anna and Elsa already in Norway at Epcot
It’s kind of fun to think of this as Toy Story Land blowing up the Earful Tower…
Marathon designs still available
New Oslwald’s Super Service sign at Art of Disney, only $95
This Hyperion Studios sign is $125
Good grief…
Lion King Tsum Tsums now at Once Upon a Toy
The last of the 2016 merchandise is finally out, the bus and hauler toys
These new Princess figure sets were released recently and should be available at Disney Parks aroudn the globe
The re-packaged monorail toys are also readily available now
The original Spaceship Earth toy with monorail track beneath it was re-released after many years in retirement
Spotted the new Haunted Mansion snowglobe at World of Disney
Also found this Peter Pan’s Flight one
Weird new crochet pin set
Work near Marketplace on a new 2-story building
Found these amazing dog tags in Galactic Outpost
Each one is a different attraction poster remade as a Star Wars poster
Jungle Cruise becomes Hoth
Storybookland becomes the Space Slug… too bad these are over $20 each…
It’s not crochet, it is embroidery.
Any idea why D-Tech isn’t releasing any Android phone cases? I have a Samsung and would love a case, but they only have iPhone cases. What gives?
Market share, there are just way more people with iPhones honestly, but those cases at D-Tech can be made for Android.
alos most people that have android phones tend to go with a case that actually protects the phone rather then covering the back
They have Galaxy s4-s6. They added s6 just recently. I was mad because the s6 came out before iphone 6s and they had iphone first.
Your pics are great. Just hard to dress up something that’s barely above the outlet malls, with restaurants while nice, are very high priced for how low quality they are. Nothing much fun to do at Disney Springs except open your wallet for trinkets.
Thank you for the pics these reports really brighten my day. More Joffrey’s please and thank you! I do not hate Starbucks at all, but enjoy Joffrey’s smooth flavor over Starbucks (even their blonde roast). So happy each park has at least one outside Joffrey’s kiosk (well except MK, though probably several kiosks there do haveJoffrey’s) – the dedicated kiosks like AK java island and the 3 in Epcot are very nice. You need that pick me up right outside Ellen’s Energy Crisis. So to see another Joffrey’s spring up at Springs is wonderful.
If DTD did keep adding Starbucks, if/when NBA Experience falls through (I can dream), 2017 DQ converts to the worlds ONLY 5 story Starbucks! Actually that might be a more satisfying day and pack in many more people than DQ!
