Disney After Hours Event Now Discounted for Annual Passholders and DVC Members

Disney After Hours, the controversial hard-ticket event at the Magic Kingdom we broke the story on a few weeks ago, doesn’t seem to be doing quite as well as Walt Disney World would have hoped. In an effort to increase sales for the event, Disney is now offering 50% off tickets for annual passholders and Disney Vacation Club members.

Disney After Hours takes place on the following dates:

  • Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 10:00 PM to 1:00 AM
  • Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 10:00 PM to 1:00 AM
  • Sunday, May 8, 2016 from 11:00 PM to 2:00 AM
  • Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 11:00 PM to 2:00 AM
  • Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 11:00 PM to 2:00 AM

Discounted tickets are $75.00 (plus tax). For tickets, call (407) 827-7185 or stop by a ticketing window at Walt Disney World.

  1. At first i thought 150usd is outrageous for 3 extra hours. And while it is steep (and i will never pay that) i was wondering how many castmembers they need to keep rides and shops open?

    1. Just read you can enter at 7pm, so that means 6 to 7hrs instead of 3..with some sodas and icecream as extra.

But why not charge 50usd and let 9000 people enter… 3000 people in MK makes it a creey empty place.
Was there once on a monday morning. No atmsophere at all. 9000 people still would mean short lines…

  2. I’ve already dropped a ton of cash for my AP, why on earth would I spend more just for some low wait times and ice cream? It appears the morning events are doing much better, no discounts offered for those…

  3. Let me get this straight, Disney raises the cost of an annual pass, is thinking about adding resort fees, and now want us to pay extra for a few hours at the Magic Kingdom?? Don’t insult your loyal APs this way. Get lawst

  4. I don’t consider it an insult to APs. The other night there was around 1,100 people after 11PM that is unheard of. If you look at the Halloween and Xmas parties the tickets are relatively the same for an AP. It has admission at 7pm like a party night, your standard wishes and parade then you have the park basically to yourself. So you can enjoy the nighttime entertainment at ease then go ride Mine Train 20 times if you want. On MNSSHP nights I feel so rushed, you have to see the parade, watch the stage show, watch the fireworks, trick or treat and maybe get a ride or villain meet and greet in, oh yeah and the park closes at 12PM. If you go to the party and do none of those things then this after hours event is for you. It really is all just a perspective thing. I think so many people look at the price and get up in arms about it rather than actually looking at the event objectively. If you look at it as a party/special event(which it is) the value is there, just instead of candy/cookies you get ice cream and soda and instead so special entertainment you have an empty park.

    1. There is nothing special about this at all. Stay late during EMH and you’ll get that same empty park feeling. Don’t try to convince the rest of us of its value simply because the time and money happened to fit in with your plans and budget. This is nothing more than a money grab and test by those who’s job it is to rake in the cash to see how far they can push us.

It is getting to the point where they’re splitting the day up into three. You can pay for morning, middle, or night … or all three, and I bet they’ll have a discount for that too.
