VIDEO: Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration Debuts at Magic Kingdom Christmas Party

Last night, the final of the trifecta of new stage shows for Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom finally debuted, Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration. Following in the footsteps of the popular Hocus Pocus show that performs during the annual Halloween Party, this new show combines lighting, projection mapping effects, and more to present a more modern performance in comparison to the over 20 year old Celebrate the Season that preceded it. See for yourself:

While the number about texting and such seems a little forced, the rest of the show is a pretty solid replacement for the classic it replaced. What do you think?

  1. I think it’s great, but wow could they cram any more non-character singers/dancers up there? lol Just when I thought they were at their limit, more came out – but the extras were characters that were great to see (just get rid of half of the non-character singers) – the Fantasyland Friends, Three Caballeros and Toy Story trio were great. Clarabelle Cow is awesome. The overall phone-social-media tech “theme” is a bit much but the show is fine. Looking forward to seeing it next month. I just wish the parents with kids on their shoulders at all these shows would instead just hold the kids up to their own head heights (let the kids sit on the parents’ hips and have their heads the same height as the parents’ heads, if that makes sense). Some of us have kids who can’t be up on our shoulders (or lifted for that matter, getting taller and heavier) and it’s hard for them to see over parents who suddenly grow kid heads above their own.
