Monorail Cast Members To Receive New Costumes

Say goodbye to the old maroon and white monorail cast costumes…

Walt Disney World Monorail cast members are set to get new costumes, replacing the current color scheme which has been around for 20+ years.  The new costume will be white, blue, and yellow.  The costume will also incorporate a conductor’s hat similar to those worn by some cast members who work on the Walt Disney World Railroad.

The costumes are set to debut very soon, so keep an eye out for them!

  1. Thank goodness. That maroon color felt drab and antiquated compared to the contemporary/futuristic feel the monorail is going for. Hopefully the new color scheme is more Tomorrowland/Future World-ish.

    • It shouldn’t be a costume that looks TOO futuristic as the Monorail cast operates in various themed resorts. I think a universally themed costume with a slight futuristic twist would be appropriate.

  2. I don’t understand why a “conductor’s hat”. Should be a pilot-style hat if anything. WDW Monorail pilots earn their “wings” pin when they are certified. They should stick with that theme.

    • I think during testing they accidentally broke off the nose of Monorail: Coral, so that may be a ways away from implementation.
