Last week, we reported that the show would be returning Friday, February 22 after dining reservations were made available on Disneyland.com. Unfortunately, this was an online error. Guests who made reservations for Friday are now receiving emails from Disney Dining informing them of the mistake.
Disneyland officials confirmed World of Color will return for a testing phase starting February 23. Dining reservations are available to book for this date, and guests can choose between World of Color Dessert Party, Carthay Circle Restaurant, and Wine Country Trattoria. Guests who choose one of these three options will receive a voucher for a viewing spot of the show. The grand opening of the show is slated for March 1, the same day Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival opens.
However, it’s worth noting that on Disneyland.com neither dates list World of Color on the Daily Events Schedule. The date is most likely not set in stone, in the event that the testing phase does not go according to plan.
Late last night, testing for World of Color could be seen on the Mattercam, a live Disneyland webcam from Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel and Water Playground. So we will take this as good news and continue to hope that the show does soft open on Saturday, February 23.
