We’ve been preparing for the official opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The park has already been making a lot of changes in anticipation of the crowds, including adding new menu items and quick grab-and-go options at various locations. While passing by The Market, located near the entrance to Toy Story Land, we spotted all new breakfast offerings. The French Toast Pretzel caught our attention (although it’s not Mickey-shaped), so we had to try it. And it may have changed the way we look at breakfast forever.
The pretzel is $7.59 and comes with a side of Smucker’s Natural Breakfast Syrup. There’s a sugary glaze coating the top of pretzel, and then sprinkled with powdered sugar. It looks so good! And seriously stuffed.
It’s amazing. There is so much filling inside. It’s super sticky, even before getting the syrup involved. You can’t really see the coating, but you can feel the sugar.
Our minds were blown at first bite. It’s amazing. The pieces with a lot of pretzel reminded us of French toast sticks, but the glazed pieces reminded us of cinnamon rolls. It’s basically every delicious cinnamon breakfast treat twisted into one perfectly portable snack.
The filling had an excellent cinnamon taste, with the consistency of the cream cheese filled pretzels. We’ve encountered hard, disappointing pretzels in the parks before, but these are incredible soft and fresh. These are only served in the mornings, which might be why they were so fresh.
These were seriously amazing, but we were covered in sticky syrup by the end of it. Maybe that’s a compliment. Napkins were not enough, and we had to stop to wash our hands (and arms) before continuing our morning. Grabbing a French toast pretzel from the Market, or the cart on Grand Avenue, would be a sticky, sweet way to start the morning before making your way into Galaxy’s Edge, but we highly recommend it!
